INAINDHAKAIGGAL BORN TO SERVE Govt. reg. no.

458/2011 Inaindhakaiggal is an organization formed by a group of students in January 2010 with an aim to serve the poor. Most of us simply blame the system, the policy makers, and the politicians for the misfortune and poor living conditions of many. But, not many are willing to take an initiative on our own to change this society for the better. We students, the biggest community on the face of the earth, must take the responsibility to initiate this change. This thought moved us to form INAINDHAKAIGGAL. Our Aim: Serve the poor without any discrimination and work for the betterment of their living. To provide basic amenities and necessities to those in need, irrespective of their caste, creed, religion or sex. Our focus: Provide basic education to needful children. Set up homes and training centers for the physically challenged and mentally retarded people. Conduct free medical camps and propagate the importance of a healthy environment. Educate people about dreaded diseases, their symptoms and guide them to professional treatment at the earliest.

Inaindhakaiggal comprises of one managing trustee, six trustees and around hundred members and steadily increasing. Our first area of concentration was on homes for the children and the elderly. We have completed six projects and conducted two fund-raiser cricket tournaments. Our projects were held in three homes, namely, Karunai Siruvar Illam, Pethampampatti, Tiruppur district. Care Trust, Amaravathi, Tiruppur district. Bhavan Anbalaiyam, Thirumoorthi hills. By our projects, we helped these homes acquire their basic requirements, helped them construct a new building, provided the inmates with necessities like toiletries, towels, etc., and on festive days, provided them with new clothes and nutritious food. Our projects were conducted on the days of major festivals like Deepavali, Christmas and Pongal. We celebrated these days with the inmates which brought them immense joy and merry.

Inauguration of the trust: The trust was inaugurated at the Indian Medical Association Hall, Udumalpet. Dr. K.Balasubramaniam, MBBS, MD, Oncologist and President of the Lions Club of Valavadi was the chief guest. Mr. J. Arone, ex-principal, RGM Hr, Sec, School, Udumalpet also graced the occasion. ID cards were issued to the trustees and members of the trust. Mementos were gifted to the active members. The function also served as a get together for the alumni of RGM Hr. Sec. School. Project-1 Venue: Karunai Siruvar Illam, Pethampampatti. Guests: Mr. J. Arone, ex-principal, RGM Hr. Sec. School, Prof. (Mrs.) Nagarathinam, Lecturer of Tamil. We collected Rs 21,000 from student members in the Udumalpet area. This money was utilized for buying bricks, cement, etc. to help the home construct a new building for the children inmates. Nutritious and delicious food was served to the inmates. Project-2 Venue: CARE Rehabilitation Trust, Amaravathi Chief Guest: Mrs. Indhirani, Mathematics Lecturer, a legendary exponent of Mathematics in the Udumalpet area. We conducted a small cricket tournament to raise funds for this project. Entry fees were collected from the participating teams and prizes were distributed to the winners at the home. We donated a sum of Rs. 15,000 to aid in modifications of the home, fixing doors and windows, etc. The inmates were served with nutritious food. Project-3 Venue: Karunai Siruvar Illam, Pethampampatti. On the occasion of the World Food Day, the poor children in the locality were gathered and sensitized about issues like food systems, poverty in the nation, etc. The Rotaract club pf Karunya University joined us for the World Food Day celebrations. The tiny tots were well fed with a good meal. Project-4 Venue: Karunai Siruvar Illam, Pethampampatti. Chief Guest: Mr. Moorthi, proprietor, Kaliamman Agencies.

Mr, Ravichandran, proprietor, Balamurugan jeweler and finance. Mr. Moorthi, one of our biggest sponsors and Mr. Ravichandran addressed the gathering on the day of Deepavali celebrations. New clothes were distributed to the children inmates, much to their joy. Basic amenities like soaps towels, water heater, etc were also provided. Sweets, snacks and a delicious meal marked the grand celebration of the festival of lights. Project-6 Venue: Lions School, Vaalavadi. Chief Guest: Ex-president of Lions Club of Vaalavadi, Nesakkarangal- Mr. Paul Nila, Mr. Kannan, auditor. World Environment Day was celebrated in association with another society named Nesakkaranga. The forest rangers in the locality also participated in the function. Awareness was created among the students about the environment. Saplings were provided to the students to be planted in the school campus. Project-7 Venue: Bhavan Anbhalaiyam, Thirumoorthi Hills. Chief Guest: Mr. Senthil, D.S.P. of Udumalpet. A cricket tournament was conducted to raise funds for this event. The proceeds were used to construct a new building for the old age home. The respected chief guest opened the new building. He also shed light on many social evils prevalent in the society and also suggested ways to develop our trust. Project-8 Venue: Indian Medical Association Hall, Udumalpet. Chief Guest: Dr. Balasundaram, MBBS, MS, noted surgeon in Udumalpet and Senior Dignitary of the Indian Medical Association. It was a combined meeting with the Rotaract Club of Karunya University and the Interact Clubs in Udumalpet. The honorable chief guest gave beneficial ideas and shared some valuable messages with those present. Many of the members present showed their willingness to support out trust. Project-9 Venue: Thaai Anbalayam, Aaliyar.

Deepavali was celebrated with utmost joy and splendor with the lovable kids in the home. Crackers and sweets were shared and celebrations reached unfathomable levels of happiness and bliss. Project-10 Venue: Karunai Siruvar Illam, Pethappampatti. The harvest festival of Pongal was celebrated in full grandeur. The traditional pongal ritual was done. Sweets and necessaries were distributed to the inmates. The day was spent in joy with games and interactions with emphasis on the importance of education. Project-11 Venue: Lions Club School, Vaalavadi. The 63rd Republic Day was celebrated with the tag line Pillars Of India. Nesakkaranga-Mr. Paul Nila, hoisted the National Flag. Drawing, elocution, singing and other competitions were held for the 80 odd tribal students. Snacks and refreshments were served for the students.
