Thanks, Roseville
for voting Safeway Rosevilles Best Grocery Store!
ts that time of year again where we announce the winners of the Press Tribunes Best of the Best survey. Readers filled out ballots in the paper and online and we tallied up the results. Readers voted in tons of categories, including Best Buffet, Best Bargain Store and Best Wedding Location. The best part for us is notifying the winners. Everyone is always thrilled to hear that they are the best in the community. Its like calling someone and telling them theyve won a million dollars.
Most of the time I would tell you to recycle the newspaper when youre done reading it, but in this case, you should hold on to this special section so you can refer to it next time youre looking for services.
I cant tell you how many times Ive referred to a Best of the Best section to find someone new to do business with. So flip through the pages and read why some local businesses were voted the best in the area. Or better yet, stop by some of these places and see for yourself. Thank you to all the readers for participating in our survey and congratulations to all the winners!

hat makes Mikuni the favorite sushi restaurant of Press Tribune readers: Could it be the sophisticated atmosphere? Maybe its the delicious sushi? Its reasonable prices? Or it could be due to the fact that the company is known for its charity. Most likely, its a combination of all three factors and more. We are honestly very thrilled to consistently be considered a best restaurant, in any category, said Mikuni Vice President of Marketing Jeanne Mabry. It is ongoing feedback of how we are doing, both in providing fresh Japanese cuisine and sushi and serving the high expectations of your readers. The popular sushi spot celebrated its 25th anniversary in
May. Roseville boasts two Mikuni locations one in The Fountains and one on Eureka Road. These are two of seven Mikuni eateries in the greater Sacramento region, with another one in Nevada. The Arai family opened the first Mikuni restaurant in Fair Oaks in 1987. The husbandand-wife team prepared food, while their children worked as a greeter, busser and server. In 1999, the family opened its first Roseville location. The companys foundation has donated more than $1 million in cash, gift cards and inkind donations to schools, churches and civic organizations.
