Western union foundation

The Western Union Foundation furthers WU global values by contributing to the


improvement of health, human services and education for those most in need. In
just over five years, the Foundation has helped generate tens of millions of
dollars for international non-profit organizations like the Red Cross and America’s
Second Harvest—providing disaster relief, education and human service
programs.

Since its inception in December 2000, the Foundation has given more than $40
million USD to more than 1,525 charitable programs globally (as of 2006). WU
help the Asia Foundation educate and empower migrant women in Jintang
County, China. WU give homeless children in Mumbai, India, a new life through
the Vatsalya Foundation. WU generated nearly $1.5 million to help survivors of

Western Union was founded in 1851 as the New York and Mississippi Valley
Printing Telegraph Company

centers, drug stores, travel agencies, depots, and other retailers. In some
countries, they may be in banks, travel agencies, post offices, airports, train, and
bus stations, and currency exchange offices.

How to Send Money from an Agent Location

It is simple to send money. Just go to any of our convenient Agent locations


worldwide.

Agent locations may be in banks, travel agencies, post offices, airports, currency
exchange offices, supermarkets, grocery stores, and check cashers.

STEP 1: Complete the Form

Fill out the required form. Then, simply show the Agent clerk your identification
card.

STEP 2: Present Payment

Give the Agent clerk the form, cash and sign the receipt.

STEP 3: Get the Receipt

Your receipt will have the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) that will allow
you to track the status of your money transfer online.

STEP 4: PAY TRANSFER FEE

In addition to the money you are sending, you must also pay transfer fees.

STEP 2: Identify Yourself

Simply give the Agent your identification card.

STEP 3: Sign the Receipt

Review and sign the receipt that the Agent gives you.

STEP 4: Receive the Money

The Agent will give you the money that was sent to you with a copy of the receipt
and you are on your way.

Restrictions and Special Notes


Sending from Pakistan:

Maximum principal send amount is $3,000 US dollars or local equivalent per


person, per day.

Send money transfers are available at Zarco Exchange Company locations only.

Commercial or trade related send money transfers are not permitted. Personal
transfers only are allowed.

Receiving in Pakistan:

• Receiver must present correct Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and
valid identification.

• Receivers under 18 years old (MINORS AGE IN PAKISTAN) are not allowed
to collect money.

• There is no minimum or maximum payout amounts.

• All payout amounts are paid in cash.

• Remittances will only be delivered to the customers address as detailed in the


Western Union Money Transfer System and the receiver will not be allowed to
change the delivery location.

• Home delivery service is only available through Zarco Exchange Co. It is


mandatory for the sending agent to obtain all the necessary details for a
Home Delivery transaction (inclusive of delivery address and phone number).
