Similarly in Rajasthan there is cooperative federation known as,Rajasthan co-operative dairy federation (RCDF) which provides the milk to whole Rajasthan with the help dairy unions, establish inthe different parts of the state.

TYPES OF LAYOUTS

Plant layout may be defined as technique of locating different machines & plant services within the factory. So that, the greatest possible output of high quality at the lowest possible cost can be available. There are mainly 3 types of plant layout i.e. product layout, process layout and mixed or combine layout

1. Process layout In this type of layout all machines performing similar type of operation are grouped at one location. In this layout several products may share a machine to make its full use. In this type of layout, the process rather than the product has the dominating role. This type of process is more suitable for job order type of production. In such production the operation differs from product to product.

2. Product layout In this type of layout the machines are arranged in sequence as required by the particular product. This is also known as The Product Line Layout. In this layout one product goes through all the machines lined up, in the manufacture required by its manufacture. In this type of layout, the product is dominating over the process. Product is more suitable for continuous flow production with few items of production.

15

3. Mixed or combined layout Generally pure process or pure product is not found in practice. So a proper combination is made in order to best suit the production process. A proper compromise reaping the benefits of both is made possible in this type of layout.

4. Job shop layout

In this type of layout there is processing of job production and hence the system is very flexible. The layout depends upon the analysis of the universe of orders received and is a very complex affair. In SARAS DAIRY . The plant layout has been adopted id process layout because the production process is job process. In process layout every department has special kinds of machines performing same factor.

22

Improving manufacturing facilities.

FINDINGS
SARAS DAIRY is small scale organization, which is situated near Gandhinagar Road at JAIPUR. The plant is situated at proper place were the location factors such as raw material, transportation etc. can easily available to the unit. The organization structure of unit is very well and quite enough. The executive are well experienced and qualified. It provides employee various facilities namely education, medical allowance etc.

The unit found to be quite liberal regarding wage and salary. It has been following governments rules and regulations regarding wage and salary. Mutual understanding solves all grievances.

The SARAS has well organized capital structure. The efficiency mutual understanding, cooperation is at highest.

The unit should develop a separate research department. Generally the buyers send drawing with specification of material and size of the parts. The department sees proper fixtures are developed so that automatically, accuracy of parts in maintained.

23

The demand of products is not limited to the national market but it has also increase it at international level. The growth rate of unit is going on and one. At the end I wish the unit a bright future and it can make progress in more efficient way.

CONCLUSION

At the end of the report, I would like to put my words with utmostdelight that what I found in SARAS while fulfilling my objective was that the employees are serving in a very amicable leading oserving the objectives to their fullest advantages to the organization. The employees are being provided with proper training and development and their performance appraisal is being undertaken at frequent levels leading to judge the value of human personnel employed therein.

Therefore what I found after evaluated performance of selected 35employees working in the organization that they must be more equipped with the working amenities and new technological knowhow and must be well trained and developed to strengthen themselves in dealing each and every query and problems of the customers and hence must make their sales as desired for the beneficial to the customers and the company as a whole. In my study I draw the conclusion that employees are getting acquainted with work frequently and the behaviour of their bossesare cooperative and more as advisors. Since food industry is rising followed by a good competition despite the company is performance extensively well in all over Rajasthan and some locations like in Delhi, Haryana etc.
