    It appears that units 2, 3, and 4 had vent pipes on the rear of the reactor building, but unit 1 did not. It is hard to tell what these pipes are at fukushima based on the pictures. At PB, the hardened pipe rises vertically out of the ground next to the Rx Bldg, kinks through a rad monitor, then extends above the top.

    I took a second look and from this picture from the cryptome.org site, it appears that units 2, 3, and 4 had vent pipes on the rear of the reactor building, but unit 1 did not. From this view, it is hard to tell what is running up the front (side facing the turbine building) of the reactor building, but is seems too small a diameter to be a hardened vent. I took "VentPipeClosel & 2" at PB. It is hard to tell what these pipes are at Fukushima based on the pictures. In "fukushima_2pipes" it appears there could be 2 vent pipes. If the pipe at fukushima were coming out of the ground it could be more discernable. Better photographs are needed.

At PB, the hardened pipe rises vertically out of the ground next to the Rx Bldg, kinks through a rad monitor, then follows the Rx Bldg until it extends above the top. It looks like a tall, 16" Inner Diameter, green pipe bracketed onto the outside of the Rx Bldg.
