my speech..
Principal,

members, family, friends and fellow graduates I feel both privileged and proud to be standing here tonight, representing ELITE PREPARATORY SCHOOL GSAT Class of 2012 and I am grateful that you could all be here this evening to share in our celebration. Together we have had quite the journey and as someone wise once said, a journey is best measured in friends rather than miles. I am pleased that the friendships that we have developed will forever reflect the incredible trip we have passed through. Here at Elite Preparatory School we have received a great education thanks to our fine administration and teachers. We are prepared to move on and to take on whatever challenges come next in our lives. Fellow graduates, I want you to know what a great gift it is to be as prepared as we are, because that cannot be said for all schools. Here at Elite Prep, we have had a high degree of academic excellence. We can also be thankful for our families. These past years have presented us with a lot of ups and downs and it is good to know that we had our families in our corner, supporting us along the way. Thanks Mommy and Daddy. I would not be here today without you. Finally, we can be thankful for each other. I hope that the friendships that we have made here will last a lifetime and that we will continue to be there for each other and to support each other in every way.

My personal journey through Elite began in September of 2003. Mrs. Swaby would hush us when we cried not to come to school and so that was even part of why I loved school. Despite wondering where on Gods green (or white) earth I had ended up, I was instantly and pervasively struck by the generous and hospitable nature of the people I met. She would even make class as fun as ever. Ms. Young was also a part of my journey, although I thought she was a little too hard with us, but I am so grateful to her for it now because I know the reason why teachers do these things. Ms. Berthfield, I dont know how you do it but we used to give a lot of trouble. Thats how kids stay nowadays, I dont know how you are going to do it but sorry for that. Not to mention even Mrs. McKenzie. She was very patient with us, not to say that the other teachers werent patient. She taught us in grade 4, and we had an awesome time. Ms. Esson, thank you for being our grade 2 tacher. You taught me fact family; I didnt know the (F) much less the (Y) of fact family. Although Ms. Spence isnt working at the school again I want to extend thanks to her also. Mrs. Swaby, there is so much to say about you but I will say this; you have been a tower of strength and a great motivator. You have done great things for us. I dont know how you wake up 5:00am every morning to reach school for the 7:30 Morning class (pre-prep class). To all my fellow teachers I know you will miss us and I will miss you too.
