Decentralized QoS-Aware Checkpointing Arrangement in Mobile Grid Computing

Aim: The main aim of this project is to deal with decentralized, QoS-aware middleware for check pointing arrangement in Mobile Grid (MoG) computing systems. Existing System: In the existing system, the check pointing of the data recovery cannot be done in an appropriate way due to host mobility, dynamicity and less reliable wireless links. Disadvantages:

The dynamic nature of the mobile hosts has limited the data recovery from the caches.

As the wireless links are of less reliable, the mobile hosts cannot maintain proper links which may result in missing links.

The links which are lost while transmission cannot be retrieved effectively.

Proposed System: In the proposed system, we have determined the globally optimal checkpoint arrangement to be NP-complete and so consider Reliability Driven (ReD) middleware, employing decentralized QoS-aware heuristics, to construct superior checkpointing arrangements efficiently. With ReD, an MH (mobile

host) simply sends its checkpointed data to one selected neighboring MH, and also serves as a stable point of storage for checkpointed data received from a single approved neighboring MH. ReD maximizes the data recovery. Advantages: Even though the dynamic nature of the mobile hosts effect the system, the host which gets crashed in the data transmission can retrieve the data from the nearest checkpoint. The problem of missing links can be overcome by getting the data from the nearest checkpoint at which the data is stored. The unreliable nature of the wireless links does not effect as the alternative will be the checkpoints to obtain the data. Modules of the Project:

Creating Topology Choosing the consumer, checkpoint and Provider Transmission among consumers and provider Data retrieval from Consumer to Checkpoint Data retrieval from Checkpoint to Provider

Modules Explanation: Creating Topology: In this module the topology is created by entering the number of nodes along with the node id.

Choosing the consumer, checkpoint and Provider:

In this module the consumer, checkpoint and provider are selected from the list of nodes either in a dynamic way by using the dynamic random generation or in a static way.

Transmission among consumers and provider: The data transmission among the consumers and provides occurs in this module. The data (a text file) will be selected and it is transmitted to the provider.

Data retrieval from Consumer to Checkpoint: The data is retrieved from the consumer and it is transmitted to the checkpoint.

Data retrieval from Checkpoint to Provider: The data is retrieved from the checkpoint and it is transmitted to the provider. If any crash occurs in the transmission of the data between the provider and checkpoint then the data will be retrieved again from the provider.
