INTRODUCTION

WHO IS AMADEUS?

AMADEUS is YOUR TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY PARTNER that started as a Global Distribution System (GDS) used by both airlines and travel agencies worldwide who evolved to a company that provides IT solutions in the travel and tourism industry. The AMADEUS System was created in 1987 and is designed to provide users with a single tool to increase their efficiency and productivity. This is achieved through: 1. The provision of the AMADEUS Central System, a centralized database and processing system that supplies information, booking and pricing for travel services worldwide 2. AMADEUS technology solutions that improves customers business.

AMADEUS has the code 1A and is owned by three main airline partners and 28 other organizations. The three major airline partners that own AMADEUS are:

There are three ways of working with the AMADEUS System:

1. Expert Mode : User makes use of the KEYBOARD 2. Speed Mode : User makes use of the mouse 3. Scripts/Smart Keys : User makes use of a mask to fill in the blanks or pre-programmed toolbars

Keyboard Mapping A few keys are remapped to perform a specific function in the AMADEUS Pro-Tempo environment.

KEY NAME ENTER

EXPLANATION Used to send commands to the AMADEUS Central System. The two ENTER keys may be used: one ENTER key is in the letter keypad & the other ENTER key is in the numeric keypad. Used to clear the screen Used to return the cursor to the top of the screen Used to scroll up from a display Used to scroll down from a display

Once you are in the sign-in stage, system will display to you the sign-in window. Enter your agent sign details. Choose the work areas you want to sign in to and click Sign In.

After signing in, the system will bring you to the sign-in information page.
