Imparfait & Conditional have the same ending; imperfect you take the nous form, conditional you take the bare infinitive. When do you use the French Conditional Tense The French conditional mood is very similar to the English conditional mood. It describes events that are not guaranteed to occur; often they are dependent on certain conditions. While the French conditional mood has a full set of conjugations, the English equivalent is just the modal verb "would" + main verb. When do you use the French Futur Tense The French future tense can also be used in si clauses, to express what will happen if a condition is met. When the action of the verb after certain constructions* will take place in the future, the future tense is used in French. In journalism and other factual narration, the future is often used in French even though the events are in the past. In French, the future can also be used for polite orders and requests, in place of the vous form of the imperative:

When do you use the French Imparfait Tense The imperfect describes an ongoing action with no specified completion: J'allais en France. The imperfect is also used for habitual or repeated actions, something that happened an uncounted number of times: [I used to travel to France every year] Je voyageais en France tous les ans. As well, it describes a general physical or mental state of being: javais peur des chiens.Last but now least, the imperfect and pass compos sometimes work together - the imperfect provides a description/background info, to set the scene of how things were or what was happening (past tense of "be" + verb with -ing usually indicates this) when something (expressed with the pass compos) interrupted: J'tais la banque quand Chirac est arriv.

Adjectives that end in -i or -u in the singular masculine and -ie or -ue in the singular feminine append a -ment ending to the masculine form. Stand-Alone Adverbs [No Adjectives] The following adjectives that end with a silent -e in the singular feminine form replace the -e with an . This is purely for phonetic reasons. Adjectives that end with a consonant (but not -ant or -ent) in the singular masculine form, append a -ment ending to the singular feminine form. Time
Hier [Yesterday] Aujourdhui

Adjectives that end in -ant or -ent in the singular masculine form, replace the final -nt with -mment. The adverbial ending is thus either -amment or - emment; both are pronounced -amment.

Finally, there is a category of adverbs which stand on their own without adjective equivalents. They can be divided into several sub-categories of: time, frequency, manner, place and quantity.
