The annual Wayne County Fair Parade is one of the largest every year in the area. Special honor is given to the fire companies in the county plus supporting good neighbors in Ontario and Monroe Counties. Favorite marching bands, members of 4-H, animals, floats and various special performances are also showcased. 4-H involvement accounts for hundreds of youth in Wayne County, ranging from age 6-19. They compete for county honors in animals, food/nutrition, horticulture, clothing/textiles, photography, all types of crafts, and public speaking presentations. 4-H programs are now open to specific schools in the county as well! Hundreds of adult volunteers assist their efforts throughout the year.
