Kids News Network (KNN) are looking for a native English speaking teenager to present the World Kids

News. About KNN KNN was founded by Free Press Unlimited (formerly Free Voice) in 2004. Kids News Network produces news for children and youth and gives them a voice in mostly developing countries. KNN currently consists of eight programs broadcasting on television and Internet, and will continue to broaden its scope. The participating countries at this point are: Peru, Bolivia, Suriname, Zambia, Mozambique, Curacao, Burma and Indonesia. By the end of this year Nepal, Ghana and Bangladesh will join us and by the end of next year hopefully Brazil, Russia, India, Egypt, South Africa and Mexico will be partners as well. KNN provides content that is relevant to young people between eight and sixteen years of age and offers a platform to young people to voice their interests, opinions and concerns, their initiatives and accomplishments. Free Press Unlimited works with local media partners, providing them with training, funding and support, always on the basis of editorial independence. Kids News Network has a World Kids News (WKN) bulletin in which local youth news KNN partners give items to WKN to make a bulletin and spread it out in a worldwide platform on television and internet. All the KNN partners will broadcast the World Kids news as well so that we all know what is going on in other KNN countries. The final editing of the WKN bulletins and the distribution to all the participant countries will take place from here, the Netherlands. Requirements Presenters aged 13 to 16 years who would like to present the program and do the introduction of all the items and voice overs. In particular teenagers who are native English speaking or have English as their second language, an accent is no problem. The whole episode is in English. South African children, Indians and teenagers from other commonwealth countries I consider native English as well. Particularly children that would be interested in presenting the World Kids News bulletin, every 2 weeks. Taping all the presentation texts of one episode in 2 or 3 hours time it depends on how quickly the boy or girl can manage the teleprompter and have a talent for presentation. After that the whole episode would be edited and distributed to all the developing countries who are member to KNN. So it won't take up much of their time, but it has to be done. An audition would be required for those interested, times and dates have yet to be determined.
