August 2012 Dear Pastor and Praying Friends Summer sure has a way of flying by. It has been what seems like a very busy schedule, but very rewarding at the same time. We were able to get away to Oklahoma City and see the graduation of some young people we influenced over the years, it is a tremendous blessing to see them go on to serve the Lord as young adults. I was also able to walk one of my former bus kids down the aisle in a wedding ceremony just 2 days later, and I have down to tell you, my cup was running over with the goodness of God, just sitting here reminiscing about it brings back a flood of joyful emotion. Brittney is continuing to be discipled, and we have baptized her as well as some teens in the church. Our daughter was home for the summer, and now has returned to Bible College, it was a blessing to have her home. Please pray for her, she has had some unusual health issues that remain to some degree unresolved. She suffers from a sporadic elevated heart rate, sometimes as high as 130, for no discernable nresolved. reason. She has seen cardiologists in both Oklahoma City OK, and Kelowna BC, but no reason has been found. They assure us her heart is not damaged, and that she is in no foreseeable danger of a cardiac event, but it is troubling to say the least. We have no concrete plan of action at this point, and pray it will resolve itself as we continue to monitor the situation. We are in the midst of getting read for our 3rd Annual Family Camp, we have enjoyed the last two ready immensely, and the church here is excited about it. Please pray for us as we also prepare for a fall campaign of reaching those around us. Sin abounds here, and we touch shattered lives all the time. The only hope and answer is Jesus Christ, and it burdens me to see so many hurting people politely (as a good Canadian will) reject the only hope they have. Recently, Kyra Bluda, a young girl who was invited by someone in the church got saved, bu now her but mother and step-father have been making it difficult for her to continue as a disciple because they see no father value in religion. Kyra testified that she likes coming because of the joy and peace that she finds around Gods people as opposed to the alcoholic chaos at home. Please pray for Kyra as swe continue to try to minister to her. We remain your grateful servants here in the city of Williams Lake.
