We spend millions Even Billions Hours upon hours Dedicating much time and skills Giving much attention To do better Lift them on shoulders Giving much praise So what is wrong with this picture? They are our sports men and women Don't get me wrong Their hard work should be acknowledge But at what price? We have become a nation of party goers So long as there is a reason to We want it We forget Or should I say Don't care Our Education System is in shambles Our Health Care in disarray Our other essential services are also fighting for scraps If we spent even just half Of money Time And dedication On what we should What a stronger nation we would be.
