Power

of Biomedical Research and Diagnostics

Corporate Overview
Located in The Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, BioMedomics is focused on developing tests utilized in personalized medicine molecular diagnostics. We market these tests to corporate strategic partners who take them to the end-customer market.
Business Lines, Products and Services Our primary business lines are: Point of Care (POC) diagnostic tests which are highly sensitive and quantitative. The low cost products we offer are disposable test strips and reader platforms. High throughput, multiplexed genotyping technology to determine patient sensitivity or resistance to a drug. Our products here include test reagents, test kits and software. Co-development services, working with strategic partners to co-develop diagnostic tests of specific interest to them. Partner-Friendly Strategy BioMedomics has strong development capability and significant intellectual property in the above areas. We invite interested strategic partners to approach BioMedomics at any time. BioMedomics business model is to welcome and work closely with segment-leading partners, and provide a pipeline of valuable tests in personalized medicine molecular diagnostics. We are flexible in transaction structures under which partners can acquire our tests, including exclusive

arrangements, tailoring our partner relationships to work best for both parties. In Point of Care testing, we typically offer partners a specific solution as a disposable strip and a reader platform optimized for the test. We are also developing advanced reader platforms which can be utilized across multiple applications. Partners can acquire platform rights for a specific test, or exclusive rights to the platform as utilized for any test. We are particularly interested in working with qualified partners during the development of a test and/or reader platform, so that we

can optimize value for the partner. Appropriate partners are also welcome as strategic investors in BioMedomics. BioMedomics maintains a confidential product roadmap of diagnostic tests currently under development or targeted for future development, which we will be pleased to discuss with interested partners under nondisclosure agreement.

Strong Development Capability BioMedomics is located within The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences, where we have extensive access to wet lab space, sophisticated lab equipment and scientific collaborations. Our development team represents an unusually strong combination of: Biomedical engineering of test platforms, and Proteomics and genomics BioMedomics is the recipient of multiple prestigious SBIR grants (including NIH/CDC and the U.S. Army) which support our work and

IP development in both our LFIA underlying our assay development. and fast genotyping business lines. We have also qualified for and received support from both the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and NC IDEA. This grant and other support leverages our ability to offer powerful development capabilities to our corporate strategic partners. BioMedomics is in touch daily with a large number of University faculty collaborators at Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University and elsewhere, and extensively connected to partners in the development ecosystem for our target tests. These relationships have proven to enable very rapid and capital efficient development in our current projects, and are expected to do so in the future as we work with additional corporate partners.

Proprietary Intellectual Property, Leverage-able Grant Activity and Strong Development Ecosystem Access BioMedomics has pending patents for our initial POC test targets, aspects of our genomics detection, and issued/pending patents for our next generation POC reader platform based on Time Resolved Fluorescence Detection. The latter platform will increase test sensitivity by orders of magnitude. In addition, we have extensive knowledge across our entire business and product focus, including proprietary genetic probes and primers, and calculation software for fast DNA sequencing. This IP base is continuing to grow rapidly as we engage further projects.
