NOTE FOR THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS 1.

INTRODUCTION: Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a Joint Venture collaboration between Toyota Motor Corporation; a Corporation incorporated under the laws of Japan and Kirloskar Systems Limited, an Indian Company and is involved in the manufacture of the state of technology automobiles. They conducts programs on various aspects of automobile manufacturing and servicing, to the worldwide student community undergoing certain specified and government recognized technical courses. 2. OBJECTIVE: Through this partnership with the Industrial Training Institutes, the Toyota Kirloskar Motor aims to help students prepared for the demands and huge employment opportunities in the automobile sector 3. METHODOLOGY: Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) is a training program developed by Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan. Through the Toyota Kirloskar Motor, students of ITI will learn how to maintain and undertake periodic maintenance of the various types of Toyota Vehicles. The students will under go theory as well as practical training at ITI premises as well shop floor training at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Dealership located at the nearest point to the institute 4. TRAINING TO THE TRAINERS: Toyota Kirloskar Motor shall provide training to the Instructors of the ITI at either Bangalore or at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Dealership located at the nearest point to the institute. 5. TOYOTA COMMITMENT FOR TRAINING COST: Toyota Kirloskar Motor shall provide the entire cost of the study materials and training equipments required for the implementation of programme. The list of such equipments whose estimated cost is about Rs.15.00 lakh is placed at Annexure I, will be provided to the Sir CV Raman ITI, Dheerpur free of cost. 6. DEPARTMENT COMMITMENT FOR UPGRADATION COST: It shall be the responsibility of the institute to upgrade its infrastructure as specified by Toyota Kirloskar Motor for the purposes of effective implementation of programme. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has provided a list of tools required for effective training. Most of the items are available as per standard Tools List of the Mech. Motor Vehicle trades, however following items are required for Upgradation for which the Finance Deptt. has agreed to: 1. 2. 3. 4. LCD projector 1no. TV and VCD Player 1no. Air conditioner 2nos. Epoxy Flooring 2mm thickness in the workshop. Rs. 80,000/Rs. 25,000/Rs. 30,000/Rs. 70,000/-

BENEFITS 1.Every year thirty-eight students of two units of Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade at Sir CV Raman ITI, Dheerpur will be trained on latest Toyota vehicles besides normal training under the trade. 2.Instructors will also be trained and update their knowledge in the field of automobile technology. 3.After completion of training, the job perspective will increase immensely for the students of ITI Dheerpur.

8. TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR COMPANY HAS SIGNED THIS KIND OF MoU IN VARIOUS STATES WITH PRINCIPAL OF ITIs LIKE: 1. Govt. ITI Kuber Nagar, Ahemedabad, Gujarat. 2. Govt. ITI, Tumkur Road, Peenya, Bangalore. 3. Sri Guru Teg Bahadur, Pvt. ITC, Nanak Piau, Delhi. 9. COMMENT OF THE FINANCE DEAPRTMENT: Finance Department has agreed to the proposal and found this in line with the policy of AcademiaIndustry Partnership. 10. COMMENT OF THE LAW DEAPRTMENT: 1. Law Department has examined and approved the draft MoU with following suggestion that will be incorporated in the MoU. 2. The MoU has to be signed between the Competent Authority instead of Principal, Sir C.V. Raman ITI to execute MoU i.e. Secretary, Training & Technical Education in exercise of the executive power of the Union i.e. the President of India. 3. The Courts of the Delhi instead of Bangalore shall have the Jurisdiction over any dispute. 4. The MoU shall be deemed to have signed at Delhi instead of Bangalore. 5. The Law Department has further stated about point 2 & 3 above that the administrative department may like to persuade M/s Toyota Kirloskar to agree to point 2 & 3 above OR take a view of their own, as considered appropriate. M/s Toyota Kirloskar as agreed to the suggestion at point 1, however not agreed to point 2&3. 6. Therefore, Department has taken a view that the conditions of MoU as stated by the M/s Toyota Kirloskar, may be agreed to (1) The Courts of the Bangalore shall have the Jurisdiction over any dispute (2) The MoU shall be deemed to have signed at Bangalore, as the programme for which the MoU being signed is for the all round improvement of the training facilities and also for increasing the employability immensely of the trainees of ITI,
