Scott 8/19/12
Six: Strongs #8337 shesh six; close cognate of #8336 shesh something bleached white, fine linen (*the garments of the Bride!) Its only by going through the month of Elul, the month of purging, and choosing to be made one with the fire of His Word that we become one adorned in our bridal garments! Gematria = 600, same value as the Mem sofit a picture of the womb, but specifically a virtuous womb, a virgin In other words, the month of Elul is the time frame during which the one who has strayed and played the harlot is able to come back and be made new, virtuous again! Its no coincidence that the constellational sign connected with this month is the sign of Bethulah (Virgo) the virgin! *The first reference of this term in the Torah is in connection with Rebekah in Genesis 24:16 And the damsel [was] very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. Rebekah: Strongs #7259 Ribqah ensnarer; the roots of this name denote a tying up of cattle, both for their own protection, the establishment of their home, and to keep them from wandering off *Notice the connection to cattle/par which is also connected to our mouth/language/words! Hosea 14:2 Take with you words, and turn to Yahweh: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive [us] graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. The virtuous bride/bethulah is one who has maintained control of her tongue for her own protection, for the establishment of her home, and it keeps her from being found niddah/wandering aimlessly! She has been renewed and her vocal chords vibrate as she proclaims the Torah! Notice that in connection with her being described as a bethulah, that she is filling her pitcher with water! Once again connecting us right back to the theme of this conference, Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Pitcher: Strongs #3537 kad jar, large jar; Hebrew word play with chad one, unity *She is one who is able to be made one with her groom, a picture of the Messiah, because she was obedient to apply the cleansing waters. She filled her pitcher! The coming days will present the same opportunity for each of us as well. We as well can choose to draw from the waters in order to become the bethulah!
