The wise and prudent in the world were so caught up

disciples asked Christ how they could discern false teach­

Everyone has a choice. You can follow the false teachers
and end up worshipping the false christ. Or, you can follow
true teachers and end up worshipping Jesus Christ. Don't
expect God's love and salvation, if you believe on the false
christ. It's not going to happen. Those that study and do
God's will shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

turn to Chapter 25 as we continue our study.
MATTHEW 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be
likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went
forth to meet the bridegroom.
Christ expects a virgin bride on the wedding day. He
also expects His bride to be shining forth His light in
this world of darkness. Those that have worshipped the
first messiah to return, antichrist, will not be fit for Jesus
Christ. Which of these ten virgins will be wise, and which
will be foolish?
MATTHEW 25:2-4 And five of them were wise, and five
were foolish. {1 They that were foolish took their lamps,
and took no oil with them: ;! But the wise took oil in
their vessels with their lamps.
Lamps won't burn without oil. Spiritually, this oil of
our people is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the truth.
Without this oil you have no light, no truth, and no Holy
Spirit in you.
MATTHEW 25:5-6 While the bridegroom tarried, they all
slumbered and slept. fi. And at midnight there was a cry
made, 'Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet
him.'
The cry made is the seventh trump. Jesus Christ
returns to His bride. Will you be among the wise and
prudent and remain a spiritual virgin, until His return?
MATTHEW 25:7-8 Then all those virgins arose, and
trimmed their lamps. B And the foolish said unto the wise,
'Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.'
Trimmed lamps burn brighter; however, the foolish
were running low on oil.
MA TTHEW 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, 'Not
so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go
ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.'
There is only one way to fill yourself with truth.
Study God's Word. No one can do it for you. Beware
of those that buy and sell religion. You can't purchase
this oil.
MATTHEW 25:10 And while they went to buy, the
bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with
him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Once that door to the wedding feast is shut, it is too
late for those on the outside. They are spiritually dead,
until the end of the millennium.
MA TTHEW 25: 11-13 Afterward came also the other
virgins, saying, 'lord, lord, open to us.' 12 But he an­
swered and said, 'Verily I say unto you, I know you not.'
13. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor
the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
No one knows the instant Christ will return; however,
those that cautiously use common sense in studying the
Bible know the season. Watch! Why would Christ place
this teaching concerning the ten virgins at this point in
His ministry? Because, it immediately follows Matthew 24
where He tells us what He expects us to be doing when
He returns. Let's turn there.
MATTHEW 24:44-45 Therefore be ye also ready: for in
such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
§. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his
lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them
meat in due season?
Meat is the truth of God's Word. Those that remain
loyal to Christ and are wise and prudent will be feeding
the sheep meat, when Christ returns.
MA TTHEW 24:46-47 Blessed is that servant, whom his
lord when he cometh shall find so doing. i l Verily I say
unto you, That he shall make him ruler over al/ his
goods.
Those that are feeding the sheep the truth are those
Jesus Christ can count on in the millennium.
MA TTHEW 24:48-49 But and if that evil servant shall
say in his heart, "My lord delayeth his coming"; ~ And
shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and
drink with the drunken;
The false teachers have to write another book about
the return of Christ every time their false prophecies don't
come to pass. You don't need a new book or a new
religion. Friends, it is all right here in God's Word for
those that are wise and prudent.
MATTHEW 24:50-51 The lord of that servant shall come
in a day· when he looketh not for him, and in an hour
that he is not aware of. Q1 And shall cut him asunder,
and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Hypocrites may be translated "stage actors". The
hypocrites are playing church. When the hour of temp­
tation arrives and antichrist appears, they will think he
is Jesus. They will realize they have worshipped antichrist,
when Jesus Christ returns. It will be a very sad day for
many that have been deceived by the stage actors playing
church. Hear and do God's Word in you daily life. Keep
your lamp full of truth. Do your part in feeding the
sheep. If you do these things, Christ considers you among
the wise and prudent.
