Small capacity balanced ported expansion valves for precise superheat control on systems designed
to operate with floating heat pressures and varying evaporator loads. Large H-size power elements
provide longer life and smoother, more consistent valve control over a wide range of operating
conditions. Wide load range characteristics. Features include: tailored bulb charges for specific
temperature ranges; forged brass body-SAE connections; bar-stock brass body-ODF connections;
replaceable power assembly; replaceable inlet filter; internal/external equalizer; field-proven internal
seal construction; is interchangeable with currently available commercial refrigeration TEVs.

The ESVB is a direct driven expansion valve that uses a stepper motor to actuate the valve pin. The stepper motor uses a
voltage pulse to move the valve either open or closed, one step with each pulse. The ESVB has the ability to be interfaced
with a variety of control electronics. The ESVB is useful in a variety of applications ranging from case control to subcooler
applications, truck/trailer refrigeration, and heat pump/air conditioning applications.
FEATURES
Hermetic construction eliminates external leakage
Bi-Flo capability allows one valve to control the superheat in both cooling and heating modes for heat pump
applications
Stepper motor moves in discrete steps allowing for precise digital control
Voltage is required only when moving the valve increasing energy efficiency
Removable external connector for easy replacement
Contains internal strainer in both the inlet and outlet connections to protect the valve from contamination in both
forward and reverse flow modes
Solenoid-tight shut-off eliminates the need for both a traditional TEV and a solenoid valve in the liquid line
Stainless steel housing minimizes corrosion over the life of the valve
2-phase bi-polar, linear actuating stepper motor, direct drive
Two motors available 24 volt or 12 volt alternating square wave (see stepper sequence table)

AOFD is designed specifically for refrigerant systems that use POE oil. POE oil is hygroscopic in nature, which means
that it attracts and absorbs water. Moisture in a closed system can produce acid and will harm the compressor. AOFD
protects compressors by removing moisture and trapping contaminants. Features: Designed to clean and dry POE oil;
3/8 male flare connections for easy replacement; Large filter surface area to provide maximum filtration; Contains 100%
molecular sieve XH-9 Desiccant for moisture removal; Designed to operate at a very low pressure drop; 10 micron
filtration for optimum oil cleaning. Replaces AC&R S-4005

The indicator element, centered within the eyepiece, is highly sensitive to moisture and
gradually changes colour in relation to changes in the system moisture content. This change
will continue to take place as often as there is an increase or decrease in the system moisture
content. Distinct and accurately calibrated colours in the indicator element and on the
colour reference label are easily matched to indicate wet, caution and dry system moisture
conditions. Only one indicator element is required for all common refrigerants.

DEVELOPED TO MAINTAIN PROPER CONDENSER PRESSURES DURING PERIODS OF LOW OUT-DOOR AMBIENT CONDITIONS
Maintains adequate condensing pressures to ensure proper system operation. Without proper control of condensing
pressure, serious consequences in the way of poor refrigeration and component damage can occur. HP series offers an
efficient and economical approach to this problem on air cooled condensers.

The ESR is a direct driven suction regulator that uses a linear actuating bi-polar stepper motor to
move the piston. The stepper motor is actuated by a voltage pulse to energize each of the motor
phases and move the piston in discrete .001 inch increments. When used as an EPR in individual
supermarket display cases, the ESR, along with appropriate control electronics, provides state-ofthe-art temperature control within less than 1F of the desired setpoint temperature. The ESR is
compatible with many control electronics widely available in the market today. Applications for the
ESR include case control, line-up and rack mounted control, as well as transportation applications on
refrigerated trucks, trailers and containers. ESRs are also acceptable for use as hot gas bypass and
head pressure, liquid hold-back valves. An ESR may NOT be used as an expansion device.

Type CPH regulators offer significant features: Take-apart construction which allows easy serviceability
without removing the body flange from the line, stainless steel diaphragm and a contoured power element,
and the unique U gland packing material which eliminates stem friction and packing leaks. Types CPHE
3 thru 6 use a balanced double-ported cage assembly. Vacuum service obtainable by counterclock
adjustment of side mounted adjusting screw. Direct operated regulators are furnished with an adjustment
range of 0-80 psig. A 1/4 SAE male flare external equalizer is standard.

1. Change letter B to A for Internally Equalized Valve.
Designed specifically for use on residential and light commercial systems; providing precision system
capacity balance at an economical price. Features: Compact hermetic construction; contoured power
assembly for long life; adjustment range of 0-80 psig; safe working pressure: 400 psig; UL listed. Supplied
with a factory set point of 50 psig, which can be changed by adjustment. Capacity of these regulators is
based on 6 degree gradient. Rated capacity will be attained when the suction pressure falls 6 degrees
below the corresponding set point saturation temperature. When the suction pressure decreases below
the set point, the regulator opens and allows discharge gas to be bypassed. The discharge gas may be
passed into evaporator or the suction line. When bypassed to the suction line, a liquid injection Thermo
Valve must be installed to properly desuperheat the suction gas returning to the compressor.
