This model is welded out of 3/16 steel with our 6-axis industrial welding robot ensuring a water tight seal. Our water tables use a two chambered system that allows the water level to be adjusted on the fly with air pressure. feature our exclusive heavy duty extruded aluminum frame and gantry, drop rail forklift loading feature, dual X axis motors, and a new gearbox system that greatly reduces backlash, transfers more torque, is more durable, and provides greater accuracy than a belt drive system. The X axis (long axis) is guided by precision industrial bearings riding on ground steel rails. The Y axis (short axis) consists of a precision linear motion multi-rail,

Torchmate 2 Systems

are our mid-line machines. The Torchmate 2 features a heavy-duty extruded aluminum frame and gantry. The X axis (long axis) is guided by precision industrial bearings riding on precision ground steel rails. The difference between the Torchmate 2 and the Torchmate 3 lies in the table design and the drivetrain. The Torchmate Two supports the material between the x axis rails and is best loaded by hand or overhead crane rather than forklift. Since the X axis rails are level with each other, we are able to use a less complicated drivetrain. Its X axis uses one motor and driveshaft. This permits us to propel both sides equally, thus eliminating backlash. The Torchmate 2 is also available as a gantry kit with capacities up to 6x40. 2x2 Water Table custom made for your Torchmate 2x2 CNC Prototyping System

Do you produce a large amount of intricate parts that need labeling? Need to make sure the guy in the field knows how to assemble them? If so, the Plate Marking Attachment can be a lifesaver. This pneumatic tool allows you to mark part numbers, serial numbers, arrows, etc on to your parts before you cut them. Click here for a video of the plate marker.

Our Arc Voltage Height Control (AVHC) maintains the proper torch tip to work distance by monitoring arc voltage, which changes with the distance from the work. Tip-to-work interval for monitoring is adjustable. The unit also raises the torch approximately 3 while moving between cuts to avoid collision with tip-ups (fully cut parts that have not fallen out of the plate, but have tipped up from the material). The third important feature of our height control is the ability to pierce the material at a greater height. This greatly extends the life of your consumables and decreases operating costs. Some manufacturers are vague about what their height control is. Some are a lot less automatic than others. Insist on seeing clear, understandable photos of exactly what you are getting. The less they tell you about it, the less you are probably getting.

Need to cut thick steel without any bevel? Using an Oxy Fuel Setup on a Torchmate table allows even the thickest plates to be cut with the precision of CNC. Torchmate offers an easy to use automated timing system to preheat, pierce, and cut every shape possible. Victor or Harris three hose machine torches are available. Includes machine torch with two tips, three hoses, two oxygen regulators, and one acetylene regulator.

Torchmate Tube Cutting Attachment enables you to perform complex operations on round tube ranging from 1/2 to 8 in diameter. You can perform saddle cuts in the sides of tubing, fish mouth cuts on the ends, slots, etc. The tube cutter utilizes an adjustable chuck to securely grip the tube. Available for use on any Torchmate 2 or 3 system, our Probe Sensor gives your machine full 3D prototyping capability. Put any sample shape or piece on your table, set the distance between passes and probe offset and walk away. Your system will recreate just about any part and the code to cut as many duplicates of it as you need. It is especially helpful when trying to recreate a complicated 3-D shape.

Our Cable Carrier Kits securely and safely route all cables. Constructed of tough, weather and grit resistant polymers, they combine great fexibility when curved in one direction, and rigidity against being curved in the other. The links can be separated at any point in the chain, making exact sizing easy. Cable carrier with separate channels is available to help you isolate your plasma torch cable from your electronics cables. Cable carriers come with lengths for both X and Y axes.

Our optional Automated Z Axis upgrade includes additional Z axis circuitry, a physical third axis and Bob CAD 3-D software, permitting sign making, raised 3-D images, etc., with your router. Many routers vary in diameter and shape - we stock a 3.5 and 2.75 shaft collar and mount which fits most 2.25hp routers. Common applications for the Automated Z Axis include: routing, drilling, engraving, spray applications, and probe sensing for prototyping. For heavy duty routing specific applications a variable speed spindle is available.

Torchmates Precision Ground Rails are standard on our bolt together tables and offered as an option for our kit customers. A cnc cutting machine can only be as accurate as the rails which support and guide it. Like manufacturers of commercial machines costing $100,000 and up we use precision ground steel rails. Many inexpensive machines on the market often use low cost construction grade materials as guide surfaces, like steel tubing or aluminum extrusions. More precise guide surfaces are required when cutting to exacting dimensions, or when producing large shapes with sides that must mate with each other precisely for their whole length. Ground steel rails are a must when absolute precision is required. We contracted with one of the worlds best manufacturers of machine tool ways and rails to produce our precision ground X axis rails. They start out oversized by 1/8 in both dimensions. They are then Blanchard ground to within .002 or less of absolute straightness in both dimensions.

Options and Accessories Need to jog, zero, or start your machine without being in front of the computer? The Remote Pendant allows this and other basic machine functions of a Torchmate CNC table to be done on a control pad while away from the computer. Pendant uses a USB port to connect to the software.

The Laser Crosshairs accessory is a simple attachment that allows the center of a torch to be located on plate. This allows quick setup before cutting and the security of knowing where your torch is without having to place the tip on the material.
