Gods people, the Israelites, were living in Egypt.

The river has brought me a baby! the princess squealed. I will keep him as my own son. I will call him Moses!

Miriam, the babys older sister came up and asked, Do you want me to get a Hebrew woman to take care of the baby for you? Yes, the princess answered. Miriam then brought the babys mother.

Pharaohs daughter hired Jochebed to feed and care for Moses when he was little. Moses was then raised and educated in Pharaohs house. When Moses grew up, God helped him save his people.
