After the 4 bar intro, the tempo doubles every 8 bars, from 100 to 200 BPM. Each double barline indicates a metric modulation and tempo change to half-speed. At the double barline, the rhythmic material looks as though it is doubling, but in combination with the tempo shift, the rhythmic motion actually stays the same The purpose of the tempo cycling is to create the illusion of infinitely rising tempo. The tempo cycling continues until the end of the piece. To contribute to the illusion, I have written some material that increases in tempo to the point of being impossible to play. If you encounter a passage that is too fast or too high to play, then please fake it! Contribute to the illusion by any means or techniques necessary. An example of this is in the flute and oboe parts at measure 21. One solution might be to fade into a whistle tone from the instrument or the player's mouth faking the rhythm, melodic shape, pitch, and/or dynamics.
