THESIS GUIDELINES
(Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Following are the guidelines laid down for Seminar, Project and Thesis work to be carried out during the course of M.Tech. at SBS STC Ferozepur 1. Important Dates: Tentative Weeks are given below for various types of presentations: Presentations Semester Week a. Seminar Third August b. Project Third October c. Pre-submission Fourth February April June August October December d. Thesis Submission -----Within 01 month of presubmission
2. Departmental Research Committee (DRC): All Seminars and PreSubmission presentations will be evaluated by the DRC. Following shall be the structure of DRC: a. Head of Department b. Supervisor c. Co-supervisor, if any d. Faculty with Ph.D. degree for 100 marks by DRC.
3. Seminar: Seminar is equivalent to Thesis Synopsis that will be evaluated 4. Project: Project is considered equivalent to Mid-Way progress report and
will be evaluated by DRC. Remaining 50 marks will be evaluated by External Examiner.
d. Final allocation of Supervisors will be notified by Head of Department. e. All M.Tech. students (Part-Time: 5th Sem & Full Time: 3rd Sem) will be distributed equally among departmental faculty.

One copy will be returned to the student. However, Thesis will have to be Hard bound with light-green cover paper (as per by PTU Jalandhar guidelines).
