Tell me about yourself.

Good Morning Sir, It's my pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name Is Chandan Pratap and I am from Bokaro Steel City. I have completed my graduation from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag in 2009. About my family, there are 4 members in my family. Me, my father, my mother and my younger brother. My strengths are that I am a quick learner, good listener, positive minded and self motivated person. I see a challenging situation as an opportunity to learn something new. My hobbies are playing chess and computer games. I like watching movies too. My short term goal is to get placed in a reputed company like yours which will give me an opportunity to enhance my skills and knowledge. My long term goal is to reach a good position in the company.

Why should I hire you?

Sir, I am fresher with lot of energy and enthusiasm and try to learn lot of things, you mould me into your expectation, I can do best to your company.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths: My greatest strength is my confidence and belief on myself, Positive attitude towards learning new things, Ability to tackle professional problems while keeping my cool. Weakness: I am a little impatient & sensitive, however I am working on my weaknesses and preparing strategies to deal with these asap.

Why do you want to work at our company? sir,I think your company will help me to provide growth of my career ,to gain the knowledge from the work experience in the organisation like you and to provide my service where i am one responsible person of the organisation like you in future.

Sir, this company is having a good reputation and growing day by day hence I can assure my career growth and stability and such companies also povide copensation, incentives, better work environment and other things. In short I want to become a part of growing company.

Can you work under pressure?

Yes, I can work well under pressure actually working under pressure shows your real qualities and talent because everyone can swim with the flow of water but the truly talented swim-er can swim against the flow of water Yes. I can work under pressure but I can work better without pressure because these is less possibility to do mistakes rather than under pressure.

Are you willing to relocate or travel?

Yes sir definitely, Because I want to build my career so I will give importance to my work rather than location n full-fill my company requirements. To have a very long and successful carrier with the same organization it's necessary / imperative to understand the work culture and functions of the organization in different locations.

What are your goals?

My short term goal is to find a perfect platform to start my career with, keeping long term goal in my mind that is to be the inspiration for my subordinates and lead a well organized team. My short term goal - I want to convince you about my skills and I want to earn the opportunity to work with the firm. And long term goal is I want to be a member of ICWAI, to enrich this firm with my extended qualification. But I think all my personal goals will appear after full filling the organizational goals.

What motivates you to do good job?

My Parents. My Mother made me stand here where I'am standing in my Life today.My Father worked so hard to provide me with good Education. So, fulfilling my Parents dreams motivates me to do a Good Job.

A word of recognition and appreciation will motivate me to do much more. Appreciation for what I did will definitely increase my energy level and will boost my confidence. This will increase my commitment, so I can contribute more to the organisation.

What makes you angry?

There is not the same reason to lose temper and get anger always.. but when it happen. i do not express among the crowd. i express only when i remind and when i am alone... Generally I have much patience. But honestly speaking when a very near and dear one cheats me or does not believe me I feel very very bad.

Give me an example of your creativity.

At the age of 12. I saw that my mom's bangles were useless for her because their colour was faded. Then I collected all bangles and stick a feviquick between every two bangles (like one after one) and made it a "PENCIL STAND".

Once one of my friend was angry with me & I had to wish his B'day but problem was neither he uses net nor he was taking my calls & I didn't want to msg him. Initially, I activated caller tune as Bday song & sent msgs to my friend contained lots of unpleasent words which made him so much frustrated that he had to call me. It worked, he made calls to me, I did attand it but IInd time & he said nothing about msg except abey tu bhula nhi, thank you.

How long would you expect to work for us if hired?

As a young graduate it has been always my dream to be a part of your company. So if I am selected, it will be my pleasure and I assure that I can give you my best. And if you recognize my work and potential, I will be there with you always as long as you want me to stay in this company.

I am steady sort of person, I do not like changing jobs as far as possible. If the challenges are as great as I feel from this interview and I make good progress in the organisation, it should be a long term commitment.

Are not you overqualified for this position?

I think I am nt over qualified for this post. Because I am a fresher and I want to prove myself. Your company provides a platform 2 prove it. Finally knowledge has no limit.

Actually first of all Thank You for Considering me like that Sir. Being a fresher and having only theoretical knowledge of all and willing to learn that all in Practical, Even I have enough of Educational Qualification. We can't conclude Over Qualification by their Educational Qualification. No sir, I don't think I am overqualified becase I am a fresher & I don't have experience but I can say I am qualified. I cant say i'm over qualified but can say well qualified. I am just a fresher and i dont have any experience but willing to get an good experience .

Have you considered starting your own business?

As a fresher I did not think much about that one right now. I just want to improve my skills and work experienc. Later I will think about that. Because a good business man must be a good employee then only he can run the organisation successfully. No sir, why because the main reason is I m a fresher I don't have that much experience and capital. And I want to expose my skills in a reputed company like this. At first a businessman must be a good employee then only he can run the business successfully. So I will think of it in future with the experience of our company

If you won $10 million lottery, would you still work?

Yes, Of-course I'll Work. Money can give you only Outer Happiness. But, Only Knowledge can give you Inner Happiness and Self-satisfaction. And that's what is Important for me.

How much salary do you expect?

Sir, Salary depends upon someone"s potential. So please first let me prove my p otential. As a fresher I am very much interested in a good work profile. So whatever the company policy is there which suits my job , I would be ready for that salary. Being a fresher, my current priority is to get a good job like this. I am sure what ever you offer would satisfy the position. HR: can you work for $5 an hour ? ( HR was sarcastic ) Me : well, if you insist me to give a figure i would say $30 to $35 an hour. Also, my range is flexible. I WAS HIRED !!! Comments please if you like :)

Sir,Salary is important..but work is most important...as far as figures are concerned, i didn't think about that because job satisfaction and career growth is most important to me..and that can provide by your company...however i feel you would select appropriate compensation for me..

I'm fresher so my target is getting experience than salary. But world works with money so my salary should be handsome

Where do you see yourself five years from now?

5-years down the line i see myself as a perectly groomed person at a respectable position where i am recognised and appreciated for achievements in my work. After 5 year I would like to see myself in a position where everyone in the company would recognized me for my achievements in work and where my company would not loose me in any case/circumstances.

After 5 years I would like to see myself in a responsible position, where I can address the same question to people and you will feel proud that I was recruited by you.

5 years from now, I see myself as more knowledgeable and skilled professional than I am today. I want people to admire me, my organization getting benefits from me. My enthusiasm, zeal, smart work increases and I want to become an ideal senior for my juniors. And hope you will feel proud that I was recruited by you.

On a scale of one to ten, rate me as an interviewer.

Sir, I don't think I am in a position to rate you. You are an experieced and well qualified person but still given an opportunity, I would rate you as 9 and half on ten. You made me feel comfortable and had an friendly attitude. I had an amazing experience in this interwiew. I am deducting half mark because I believe that no one is perfect and we all have space for improvement.

Sir, as I m a fresher, I should not rate you but without being diplomatic I would like to give you my feedback that you made me so comfortable and your way of asking questions were quite simple and understandable.
