Chapter 1: About HR Manual


HR Manual is designed for the internal circulation of the HR Department. It should contain the HR Benefits for the employees which give broad overview of the various HR processes like Rewards and Recognition, Learning and Development, Various employee referral programmes, Performance Management System, etc. With the growth of an organization, various other processes may be added to it, so as to keep the manual updated. HR Manual is a booklet which mentions all the norms of a company which helps an outsider and internal customers to understand the HR processes. The TCS HR policies, as with any TATA Group Company abides by the TATA Employee Welfare guidelines. The Benefits for You (B4U) is the HR Manual of TCS BPO which helps and provides the necessary information to associates which means to improve the Quality of Life at TCS. The Comprehensive list of the TCS HR Policies and Benefits can be found in this HR Manual which all TCS employees use for Communication, Accounting, Approvals, Applications, Performance Management, Learning and Development, etc.

Chapter 3: Research Methodology


A study of HR Manual will be a descriptive research which will be backed by the primary as well as the secondary data. In the course of research various forms of tools will be used for gathering the data like interviews, questionnaires and opinion of employee, internet and feedback from existing employees who gone through HR Policy of TCS. Research will be mainly emphasizing on the HR Manual of TCS.

Sampling Techniques:
3.2.1 Sample size:30 We have taken a sample size of 30 candidates to study the employee satisfaction on the HR Manual. In order to do the same we will distribute the questionnaires of the 30 candidates who have just freshly joint TCS.

3.2.2 Sampling Method: Random sampling.

We have chosen Random sampling so that we could have huge variation in the data rather than restricting our self to employee of only 1 department.

It offers number of services like Back office operations, engineering services, clinical data management, statistical analysis, medical writings, credit card operations etc.

Rewards and Recognition are the composition of water changes. Our reward and recognition programme a partly named 100 degree when the composition changes aims at doing just that recognizing and motivating the people talent that plays an integral part in TCSs success. To keep a track of the competency and performance of the employees TCS has more than 2000 courses and 500 certifications, this helps an employee to develop their skills, attributes and knowledge.

Tentative recommendation is to be done on the basis of questionnaire and tentative conclusion is to be done on the basis of primary and secondary data obtained.

Chapter 8: Limitation of the study.


Due to data confidentiality, HR managers can not provide exact information. Because of that we may not get appropriate findings.
