Story and gameplay:


Story: Background: In the peaceful world of "Decorus" creatures lived in harmony with each other, and every day was a celebration of life. Our hero lived a peaceful life with his family and friends, until one day when the evil outcast of the tribe returned with an invention that would change the face of the world forever. He had created a color collector that left the world grey and white, and with no colors the world would surely die. Then the old wise man of the tribe summoned for our hero, to give him a quest to seek out the outcast and return the colors to the world. The outcast "Duke Bowtie" had stored all the colors he had collected in the capitol "Camtown". This is where our hero must go to defeat "Duke Bowtie" to save the world. Middle: To get to "Duke Bowtie" you must enter the city from the jungle where you live, on your journey to the "Duke" you will have to complete different tasks to unlock the "Duke's" chambers. Ending:

When you have completed all the different tasks to get to the final chamber you will have to face the evil outcast "Duke Bowtie", if you defeat him you can release the colors that he stole, to save the world from a slow destruction.

Gameplay:
It is a color based puzzle game, that will require you to gather different colors to solve the puzzle's throughout the game. There are four main colors Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. You start off on the edge of the town and are given a linear path to follow that will lead you to a "Town Square" that will splitt up into four different paths, theese you must explore and discover that you need the different colors to complete each puzzle. When you have completed all the puzzles you will be able to enter the boss room there you must complete a last puzzle to defeat the boss.

In the beginning you start out without any colors. Colors will be a vital part of completing different tasks and puzzles. For the first available puzzle you won't be needing any thought, and when you complete this you'll unlock a new color, which in return unlocks a different area. All the puzzle areas are open from the start, but you will not be able to progress in them unless you have the necessary colors to clear the puzzles in them. This is a new and unique way to separate the different levels to create a more dynamic environment which feels more free and lively. The colors in the game are: Green - Dodge Red - Dip Blue - Dive Yellow - Duck and dodge (The exact abilities of these colors are still under discussion and these are just placeholders) The first color you'll obtain will be green, which in return lets you into the next area where green is required, and so onto the next one which will require red and green in order to

progress and so on, until you have all four colors and can progress to the final boss. And when you have defeated him you have saved the entire world

Character(s) and Controls:

Character:

You control the main character a chameleon named "random", he is a average member of his tribe. Until one day when the evil outcast "Duke Bowtie" returns with a invention that steals all the colors in the known world. This is when the tribe's elder aproach "you" and give you the quest that will bring you out on an adventure you soon will forget. Since you are a chameleon you can change colors to help you get through different puzzle's but you dont get all the colors at once. So u must complete some of the puzzle's to collect the different colors, and you need to aquire all the colors before you can enter the boss chamber to defeat him. Controls:
"W,A,S,D" : Movement. "E" : Use ability (Lift, push etc). "1,2,3,4": Change colors. "Space" : Jump. "Q": White color.

Interface

Main menu: shows how to control the character, load and how to change colors in the game. GUI: you can save, change volume, change the control setup HUD: The colors you have collected will be in the top corner, with the numerical code We have not decided yet on how to set up the healtlh bar. whether we should have health bar in the top corner, or die right away, and then go back to the last checkpoint. And if we should have a warning before you die, and have the screen turn red upon death.

Enemies and bosses:


Since our game is based on solving puzzles, we have no enemies, but many obstacles along the way that can kill you. such as lasers and broken floors. We only have one main boss in the game. His name is Duke Bowtie. The whole action story revolves around Duke, who has stolen all the colors in the world, and "white" have to find out where he has hidden them to get back the colors. When "white" have found all the colors he needs to get to Duke, he must defeat him by solving a puzzle.

Cutscenes:
There will not be any cut scenes but there will be an simple intro and outro "movie" to give the player a little insight in the story. The intro and outro will be made in flash with a simple style and some movement, but little complex animations.
