Delaney Patterson 7/11/11 English 1 Reactions/Reflections to the quote/passage When I read this I was like wow this is right on the money. To me this means some knowledge we need to wait till where older to know, not everything is for little kids to know. I wish someone would have told me this when I was little. Right here is where Corries dad is talking to her about God and how he has things planed for us and we dont need to rush into things before he tells us to. I really like this quote because its saying how we need to trust God. Trusting God is something a lot of people dont do now days. A lot of people think that happiness is something you can buy. Rich people buy things that make them happy when it really doesnt make them happy at all. While poor people fill their lives with people they love to make them happy. I love how Corrie describes what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like on winter evenings for her while her mother was alive. She describes it like its alive and the way she is describing it makes it seem alive. While reading I realized that when Corrie talks about something she makes it come to life. I took this to mean when we do something in our lives God uses them to help us with other things he will have us do during our lives. God works in mysterious ways to help us in our future. This quote is really a life lesson that we all need to learn. By this I took it as nobody can contain how big and powerful love really is. To me what it means by walls which shut it in I take that to be the walls of your heart. I say this because love comes from the heart or thats what most people think, because you are supposed to love people and things will all you heart. I took this to mean that she is following God and trusting him to make the big decisions for her. I dont necessarily mean that God will make the decision. I mean that he will help her make the right decisions. I really like this saying because after all the human body can do then its time to let God take over. After human efforts have done all they can do then God will take over and help finish the job. Gods power is more powerful than any human could ever imagine. I took this to mean when youre in the dark and dont know what to do then you will realize what Gods been telling you the whole time. Sometimes for me its better to be in the dark and have God tell me what to do than to do things on my own. Everybody in the world needs Gods help every once in a while. At first this really confused me then I got its meaning and as confusing as it was it had true meaning in it. Its saying no madder how much we forgive or how good we are God is always better. It also says that we need to love everybody and to love, love its self.
