2 SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
JANUARY 18TH, 2009
PRAYERS: We pray for our loved ones who have died and for all those who have
asked for us to pray for them in times of grief and illness.
Parish Directory: This year and in an ongoing way, we will be seeking your co-
co-operation in our
effort to have a photo record of our
our parishioners. This will not be of any cost to you – there will be
no “sale of pictures”. We will however, provide several opportunities
opportunities for you to have your picture
taken. Eventually, our parish data system will include these photographs. We respect your desire for
privacy and assure you that they are exclusively a way of identifying with the Parish Family.
Photographers will be available to take your picture this weekend and next
week
weekend after Masses.
∆ PARISH SUPPER ∆: January 26th at 7:30 p.m. the Parish Supper co-ordinators will gather to begin
plans for our renewed vision of the Parish Supper and Lottery Draw. If you have time you are most very
welcome to join with us in the meeting room after Monday evening Mass.
INCOME TAX RECEIPTS: We thank you for your ongoing generosity to sustaining the ministries
and facilities here at St. Francis Xavier Parish. Any donations received or deposited after December 31st,
2008 will be credited to your 2009 income tax receipt. Income tax receipts for the year 2008 will be
ready some time during the next few weeks. To obtain a receipt, simply put a stamped, self-
addressed envelope in the collection basket and it will be mailed to you.
REMINDER: Please pick up your 2009 Sunday collection envelopes as soon as possible. The
envelopes have been moved from the foyer and are now on a table at the back of the church.
