CHURCH NURSERY Child care is available for children up to age 5 in the church nursery on Sunday mornings. Children are always welcome in the sanctuary. Children's Sunday School is offered after Childrens Time in the 10:50 worship service.

WE PRAY FOR OTHERS The pastor will share prayer requests and the congregation will respond: Lord, hear our prayer. UMW Heart PillowsYou may have noticed the heart and mastectomy pillows displayed in the foyer this morning. The Berkeley UMW Women in Action Circle prepared them at their Wednesday, September 12th meeting. The mastectomy pillows were sewn and completed by member Iris Field. Member Brenda (BJ) Johnson sewed the heart pillows prior to the meeting and the members stuffed them. This is a yearly project of long-standing by the Circle and they are donated to St. David's South Austin Hospital. This year a total of 41 pillows were made! Will the Work Corner Continue?We need volunteers for: 5th Sundayonly 4 times a year; On-call substitutes for regular workers. The work is done by pairs. Training is offered to new volunteers. Supplies are provided. We meet at 6:30 a.m. in the CLC kitchen to prepare eggs and beverages, drive to 7th St. to serve, then return to BUMC. To continue this ministry, we need a few more volunteers. Berkeley UMW members are offering these opportunities during Sunday coffee hours: Sept. 16 (coffee taste) Sept. 23 (coffee taste and pre-orders accepted) Sept. 30 (pre-orders accepted) Purchased coffee should be available for delivery by the end of October (if not sooner). Fair Trade means that growers and workers receive fair compensation and work under humane conditions. All proceeds benefit Berkeley UMW mission projects, the farmer, and the UMCOR Coffee Project. Fifth Sunday Potluck LunchOn Sunday, September 30, plan to eat lunch with your friends at Berkeley! We gather following second services in the Fellowship Hall. Bring enough of your favorite dish to share. Drinks provided. Finance Update Through 8/31/12: 2012 Income: $162,807 2012 Expenses: $179,228 Shortfall: $16,421 What can you do to help? 1) Bring your Estimate of Giving up to date.
