Course Description Faculty of Business Administration ACCT 101 Principles of Accounting 3(3-0-6) A Study of the fundamental concept in accounting. Accounting framework, accounting cycle and preparation of financial statements for service merchandising and manufacturing firms, specialized journals, the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers in addition to ethic of accountant. ACCT 313 Managerial Accounting Prerequisite: ACCT 101 3(3-0-6) Study of the meaning and form of accounting for managerial purpose; comparing financial accounting for planning and capital behavior control; analysis of budget, income price level change; capital behavior control: analysis behavior control; analysis of the relationship of costs; performance evaluation; decision making progress. BLAW 103 International Business Law 3(3-0-6) Study of the international and domestics laws applicable to international business transactions including sales of goods, intellectual property licensing and protection, international finance and foreign investment. Examining International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration rules to Settle trade disputes, uniform rules concerning the contract for international carriage of goods by sea, air, rail and road. Understanding causes and effects of multilateral organizations such as the WTO,IMF,FTA, European Union, and NAFTA to international business trade and transactions. BUSI 201 Business Finance 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: ACCT 101 Study of the scope, role and function of financial affairs; targets and importance of finance management; forms of business influences on the technical capital and capital planning. BUSI 304 Research Methods in Business 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: STAT 201 Examine appropriate steps, design and methods in research; questionnaire design and random sampling; data collection and research presentation; application of research outcome for analysis and decision making in business. BUSI 305 Strategic Management 3(3-0-6) Analytical study of problems for Junior and Senior students relating to business policy, determination of strategic targets for effective business; politics and social related to strategic organization planning; operation and control strategies of organizations. BUSI 306 Quantitative Analysis in Business 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: STAT 201 Study of quantitative techniques in organization; Linear programming for business function; emphasis on inclusion of alternative product replacement; job distribution; techniques in business forecasting; quantitative analysis in management planning and personnel planning. BUSI 307 Financial Markets and Institutions 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite:ECON 105 Study of concepts and principles of fianc; functions of money and financial markets; meanings and types of securities and financial services; theory and structure of interest rates; types and functions of financial institutions; governmental regulations concerning monetary and financial markets. CISI 201 Management information Systems 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of concepts and functions of management information systems; managerial concepts analyzing; systems of organization and management; relationship between organizational theory and management information systems; planning and setting programs for management information; relationship between information system and decision making; information of management design. COMP 100 Introduction to Information Technology & Information Retrieval 3( 2-2-5 ) The study of information technology, computer system, information system, network system, the application of the Internet, information recording and retrieving, the application of the information system for information searching and presentation. ECON 100 Principle of Economics 3(3-0-6) The study of concepts and principles of economics, significance of economics in everyday life, demand and supply, behavior of the consumer and manufacturer, the key economical policies in Financial banking, public finance and trade, national income projection, and how to apply the theory of sufficient economy into practices. ECON 105 Business Economics 3(3-0-6) The study of economics concepts and the application in business and finance. In business, the study of how decisions and made by private businesses, governments, and households in producing, consuming, and distributing goods. Students study about pricing based on supply and demand, manufacturer and consumer, cost, profit, and the market price. Examination of the use of macroeconomic information to analyze the market in business. In finance, economics is concerned with monetary arrangements and their impact upon purchasing power and economic performance, as well as the study of money markets and stock markets. It covers the working system of money markets and stock markets and also risk management in investing in stock markets. ENGL 102 Intermediate English 3( 2-3-6 ) The study of more complicated sentence patterns. A more emphasis on practing skills in listening speaking, reading and writing at a higher degree of difficulty. A listening practice for main ideas and for details. ENGL 201 Advance English 3( 2-3-6 ) Prerequisite : Intermediate English(ENGL 102) A usage of integrated skills for communication in different situations. An accurate usage of idioms and expressions in conversations and in writing, ie. For a job interview, short story telling. A practice of small-group conversations and of different types of writing. ENGL 305 Business English I 3(3-0-6) Study of the principles and skills involved in writing various business documents with emphasis on correct form, concise expression and clarity of content. Written business documents covered in the course include letters of application and replies, letter of inquiry and replies, resumes and memorandums. Job interview practice is also included. ENGL 306 Business English II 3(3-0-6) More practice of writing business document at a high level. These include letter of inquiry, complaints and their responses. Writing agendas, minutes of meeting, and summarizing business documents are also introduces in the course. ENGL 411 English for International Trade 3(3-0-6) The students will study vocabulary and expressions used in international trade. Emphasis on understanding international trade documents and invoices. LAWS 100 Principles of Law 3(3-0-6) The study of the history and evolution of laws, meanings, nature and classification of laws, legal rights, duty, the enforcement of laws and the interpretation of laws. The course also includes a study of the generalities of the Civil and Commercial Code, Criminal Code, as well as Constitutional Law. MATH 100 Mathematics in Daily Life 3(3-0-6) The study of real number, set, functional relationship, mathematical simulation, matrix, the Rules of Three in arithmetic, the introduction to logic and the application for application for daily-life use, the statistical principles, data collection and presentation, central tendency and distribution measurement.
MGMT 201 Principles of Management 3(3-0-6) Study of the theories and principles of organization management; the relationship between organization and the management; the functions of management staff including personnel planning, motivation and control for effective management.

MGMT 313 Planning and Control Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Conceptual study of objectives and policies of business organization; cooperation in planning; labor planning; control and evaluation. MGMT 314 Project Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of project management; feasibility and design of projects; project management in accordance with budget and required resources; evaluation, control, and termination of projects. MGMT 315 Performance Appraisal 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of nature rational and methods of implement various types of system used in evaluating the performance of the employee; process of performance appraisal; used of feed back from performance appraisal for Human Resource Management. MGMT 316 Productions & Operations Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 The course focuses on the examination of the managerial system a firm uses to integrate geographically and, sequentially, manpower, machines and material in order to design and produce or service. MGMT 404 International Business 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of international business management objectives and strategy; profit and opportunity in international investment; international business policy development in accordance with international business management. MGMT 405 Office Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 The study of the principles of office management, including planning and regulations, supervision and office automatic, purchasing upkeep, office control, work distribution and productivity measurement. MGMT 411 Organizational Behavior: 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of roles and human behavior organization depending on behavioral and psychological principles; relationship among persons; groups and departments in organization, communication and motivation. MGMT 412 Small Business Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisites: MGMT 201, MKTG 201, MATH 100, STAT 101 Study of problems in business management; application of theory of management; capitalization, planning and bargaining of business, preparation for future expansion. MGMT 413 Seminar in Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: approval by instructor. Study and debate on problems in business management; application of theories from management in technical administration; administration analysis; special lectures from experts in the field of business and management. MGMT421 Entrepreneurship 3(3-0-6) Study of the qualifications and entrepreneurial characteristics necessary for developing investment opportunities and making decisions in new ventures. Includes situation analysis and the practice of business plan projects. MGMT 422 Change Management 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 The study of the nature of change. Explanation of the change process, effects and influence of change, tendencies of change in businesses in Thailand and around the world, recognition of behaviors that we indicative of resistance to change and the understanding of ways of overcoming such resistance. MGMT 423 Leadership and Motivation 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: MGMT 201 Study of theories of leadership; situational factors affecting leadership; the relationship of leader within the organization; group behavior decisions; group failure; leader selection; application of motivational theory for effective working groups. MGMT 499 Cooperative Education 9(2-40-0) Practice working in a real company with colleagues and working as part of a team; development of ethics, communication skills, personality and working relationships; basic knowledge and techniques for presentations; reporting of special projects. Evaluation of performance by teacher and company advisors. One semester. MKTG 201 Principles of Marketing 3(3-0-6) Basic concepts in marketing; target market and market segmentation; market and environments; consumer buying behavior; marketing mix; roles of marketing in the economy and society; and factors effecting consumer demand. PEHR 100 Physical Education 3( 2-2-5 ) The study of structure and systems of the body to apply to use in health care. Students will at least take an activity as a means to exercise to activate good health and quality life. PSYC 101 Psychology and Personality 3(3-0-6) The study of the origin and development of psychology, human behaviors, sensory awareness, perception, emotion, motivation memory, thinking. decision making, personality, adaptation, inter-relation, personality development, environmental effect, moral raising, as well as how to apply the knowledge in psychology for the use of everyday life. SOCI 103 Society and Thai Culture 3(3-0-6) The study of the historical background and civilization of the northern Thai society, racial and cultural inter-relationship, socialization, social control, the development of social structure, function and social changes. The study will also cover the political process the analysis of political, social and cultural behavior, the current issues as well as the future trends.
STAT 101 Fundamental of Statistics 3(3-0-6) The meaning of Statistics; scope and usage of statistic; elementary probability, random variables; binomial and normal probability distribution; statistical data; elementary data analysis; estimation of population mean; variance and population hypothesis testing; relationship among variables and forecasting. STAT 201 Business Statistics 3(3-0-6) Prerequisite: STAT 101 Study of the nature of business problems such as the choices of the best alternatives under conditions of uncertainty caused by the concept of probability; basic random variables; theories of probability; various kinds of probability; no parameter tests; theories of decision making and principles in decision making; macro theorem and analysis. THAI 101 Thai Language Usage 3( 2-3-6 ) The study of the aspects of the Thai language and the practice of skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Practice a variety of writing such as creative writing , descriptive writing, and explanatory writing. Students will develop skills in productive criticism. THAI 301 Thai as a Second Language 3( 2-3-6 ) Study of Thai sound system and vocabulary for daily life. Fundamental conversation.
