REG: PNB (Officers) Service Regulations, 1979 Entertainment Expenses and Club Membership Regulation-29 of the PNB (Officers) Service Regulations, 1979 provides that the Bank may reimburse to an officer such entertainment expenses, and such fees for membership of clubs and professional institutions as may be decided by the Board in accordance with the guidelines of the Govt. 2. The guidelines and limits of reimbursement of entertainment expenses and club membership have been earlier consolidated and circulated vide HRD Division Circular No. 103 dated 24.09.2002. Further, the limits of entertainment expenses being reimbursed to officers in various scales were last revised w.e.f. 01.04.2009 and circulated vide HRDD Circular No. 541 dated 18.04.2009. 3. The issue of revision in the limits of entertainment expenses was discussed with the majority Officers Association - AIPNBOA. Keeping in view the escalation in costs and the aspirations of the officers, the matter regarding revision in the limits for reimbursement of entertainment expenses to officers has been considered by the Board in its meeting held on 26th July, 2012 and accordingly, the limits of entertainment expenses to officers have been revised effective from 01.08.2012 as per details given here under: SCALE VII VI V IV III II I EXISTING LIMITS 36000 18000 9600 9000 7200 5000 4500 REVISED LIMITS 37500 19200 10200 9600 7800 5400 4800

4. The issue with regard to extension of the facility of entertainment expenses to the Special Assistants was raised in the Central IRM Meetings with the majority workmen union i.e. AIPNBEF. Keeping in view that the Special Assistants also perform supervisory duties in branches having direct interface with the customers, the Board has approved sanction of Entertainment Expenses to Special Assistants subject to a limit of Rs. 2400/- per annum w.e.f. 01.08.2012. 5. It may be noted that the enhancement of limits for officers and sanction of fresh limits to Special Assistants shall be admissible proportionately for the current financial year. All the extant guidelines regarding reimbursement of entertainment expenses and club 6. membership will remain in force.
