Intro: God has demonstrated His concern for wholeness we are a spirit, living in a body, possessing a soul 1 Th 5:23 specialists are concerned only with one entity: body, mind sozo saved, healed, whole, delivered, preserved, woman with issue blood (Lk 8:43), Jn 3:17 It will be a double blessing if you give yourself up to the Great Physician, that He may heal soul and body together. And unquestionably this is His design. He wants to give you . . . both inward and outward health. John Wesley

II. God desires our Wholeness of Spirit: God considers salvation the MOST important thing who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9 Adam experienced spiritual death and we all are born with death reigning spiritually, God makes that whole III. God desires our Wholeness of Soul: God restored the soul of many mind, will, emotions consider David He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Ps 147:3 Salvation is not just going to heaven, but a present deliverance from sin, a restoration of the soul to its primitive health. God desires our Wholeness of Body: Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. 3 Jn 1:2 Lk 5:12-15 We all know He is able, but is He willing the same yesterday, today, tomorrow He is no respecter of persons I would rather someone doubt my ability rather than my will. A. Wrong Understanding 1. Abuse of healing Healing was never because of oil, water, handkerchiefs, it was because of the faith that people had the Biblical examples were only points of contact they employed, nothing special about the object 2. Sickness does NOT glorify God

Although many sick people may have glorified God by their patience in suffering. He can still be glorified by health which He has sanctified. Andrew Murray And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God Lk 17:15 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like this! We need to look after our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit The Wesleyan Church encourages its members to practice self-discipline and temperance in matters of proper eating, exercise and rest. 410:4 2. God created mankind whole and created our bodies to heal- if we get cut 3. Jesus healed ALL who came to Him, never sent any away, nor made anyone sick 4. The disciples followed the same example 5. Feed on the word Pr 18:21 Exercise the spirit, faith, meditation spiritual vs carnal mindedness Stop up the drain get rid of that which drains us, disobedience, fear, busyness, weariness, strife because someone is healed doesnt mean divine wholeness is proof, but rather because the word says it! VI. Conclusion: pray for Wholeness
