Step One: changing the Network card IP Address

To be able to communicate with the NE, we need to change the IP Address of the net card. The RTN 950 network domain:
Start at: 129.9.0.0 End at: 126.9.254.254 Subnet mask: 255.255.0.0

So, how to do that?

Step One: changing the Network card IP Address

Click on Start Menu and tab on the Control Panel icon. From the Control Panel items click on Network and Sharing Center icon.

In Network and Sharing Center window on the lift side click on Change adapter settings. Double click on Local Area Connection icon of your network card.

Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4. Then, select Use the following IP address:. Select an IP address from the domain as mentioned in slide No.2. Finally, click Ok & Ok.

Step Two: Connecting the NE(IDU) & Laptop

The basic data configured for the NE through the Web LCT includes basic data of the NE, IF/ODU information of the radio link, parameters for the IF interfaces and the parameters for the ODU interfaces.

Step Three: Start Web LCT

Open the folder where you keep the program and double click the startweblct.bat file.

Step Three: Start Web LCT(Login)

Wait till the program open you Internet Explorer. Type admin in the password box. Click Login.

Step Four: Configuration(Find NE)

Click Ne Search then Advanced Search.

Step Four: Configuration(Change Domain)

By clicking on Manage Domain a new window appears. Click Add then type 129.9.255.255 in the Domain Address. Clink Ok. Close the Manage Domain Search window.

Step Four: Configuration(Add NE)

Change the Domain to 129.9.255.255 and click Search. Wait till NE appears then stop search and select it and click Add NE. Close Search NE window.

Step Four: Configuration(NE Login)

Select NE and click NE Login, a new window appears. In the password box type: password. Click OK. Then, click NE Explorer.

Step Four: Configuration(Add Physical Boards)

Click on Add Physical Boards and wait till boards color change to green.

Step Four: Configuration(Edit Link Information)

We change the information according to planning. Then click Apply and Query.

Step Four: Configuration(1+1 Configuration)

Click on New. From Working Mode select: HSB. In Working Board select: 3-IFU1. In Protection Board select: 5-IFU1. Click OK & Apply & Query.

Step Four: Configuration(Create Cross Connection)

To create a Cross-Connection: Click on Cross-Connection Configuration. Click New. Change it as on the image. Click OK.
