NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by provision to Article 309
of the Constitution of India, the Governor, Himachal Pradesh, in consultation with
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, is pleased to make the following Rules
further to amend the Himachal Pradesh, Higher Education Department, Post Graduate
Teacher, Class-III(Non-Gazetted) Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2010 notified vide
this Department notification of even number No.EDN-A-kha(3)-3/98-Part-II dated 20
th

Sept.2010; namely:-
1. Short Title and Commencement (1) These rules may be called the Himachal
Pradesh Higher Education Department, Post
Graduate Teacher, Class-III (Non-
Gazetted), Recruitment and Promotion (2
nd

Amendment) Rules, 2010.
(2) These rules shall come into force from the
date of publication in the Rajpatra,
Himachal Pradesh.
Amendment of Annexure-A 2. In Annexure-A to the Himachal Pradesh,
Higher Education Department, Post
Graduate Teacher, Class-III (Non-Gazetted)
Recruitment and Promotion Rules, 2010 for
the existing provisions against Col.No.10
the following shall be substituted namely:-
i) 50 % by Promotion.
Provided that in case of promotion of
PGT(Informatics Practices), if suitable
candidate(s) are not available, then the
said post shall be filled up 100%
through direct recruitment on a regular
basis or by recruitment on contract
basis, as the case may be. The contract
employees will get emoluments as given
in Column 15-A and will be governed
by service conditions as specified in the
said column.
Provided that minimum Percentage
of marks in Masters Degree in the
subject concerned and in Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed) degree as
professional qualification would not be
applicable to those who have been
working/ engaged with the Department
as Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)
prior to 19.8.2011.

(ii) 50 % by direct recruitment on regular

as the case may be. The Contract
employee will get emoluments as given
in Col. 15-A and will be governed by
service conditions as specified in the
said column.
