Qatar Foundation International (QFI) has partnered with Arabic Without Walls, an award-winning online course provider that assists in the teaching and learning of introductory Arabic. During a time when budgets for foreign language learning are being cut across the board, QFI believes it is critical to ensure quality programs such as Arabic Without Walls, said Executive Director of Qatar Foundation International Maggie Mitchell Salem. This online approach provides Arabic language instruction to students who cannot otherwise access it. The high school implementation of Arabic Without Walls won the 2010 Distance Education Course Award and the 2012 K-12 Distance Learning Course Award.
Kirk Belnap, director of the national Middle east language Resource center, gives a presentation about tips to learning a language at an arabic without walls seminar.
