Mid-semester project: Film 400 What are the relative strengths and weaknesses of the five films that

we have seen so far in terms of portraying Mexican history and culture? How have they aided your understanding? Have any misconceptions or stereotypes been altered or eliminated? Have the readings helped or confused the issues? Did any of the readings contradict what you saw in the films? Do you think that film is a good way to approach this subject? In a well-reasoned, well-argued essay of at least 2 typed pages, double-spaced [1 margins] please address the issues stated above. DONT just run down the list of the questions asked above! You should have paragraphs that incorporate the questions, answers and examples. Your answers should be as specific and concrete as possible, making reference to articles [the titles should be in quotes with the page numbers listed] and films, whose titles are underlined.
