Violence Awareness Month. It states, This month, let us renew our efforts to support victims of domestic violence in their time of greatest need, and to realize an America where no one lives in fear because they feel unsafe in their own home. DVAM evolved from the first Day of Unity observed in October 1981 by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The intent was to connect battered womens advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children. The Day of Unity soon became a special week when a range of activities was conducted at the local, state and national levels. Now, Domestic Violence Awareness Month is a sweeping national movement that works to bring domestic violence and its prevention to the front of public discussion. Without question, domestic violence is a costly and devastating problem in our country and our community.

Roe today announced that the agency has developed and posted an online listing of maps that depict roads opened seasonally to provide hunters and trappers greater access into interior portions of State Game Lands. These roads are opened to provide hunters and trappers better access to the State Game Lands system, which is a priority for the agency, Roe said. Statewide, we have more than 400 miles of seasonally-opened roads on State Game Lands. These roads are important to the public; their seasonal openings are based on hunting seasons, road conditions and safety. From time to time, we close some of these roads when conditions warrant. TIME TO PUT YOUR GARDEN TO BED By: Rex Spencer, Master Gardener, Cornell University Cooperative Extension Its a great time of year to work in your garden; no mosquitoes and mild temperatures. To make sure you have the best garden in 2013, follow these steps now to get your garden ready for the winter months and next spring. 1. Water your perennials and flowering shrubs in the fall. Keep watering until the soil is frozen if they are not getting 1 of rain per week from Mother Nature. 2. Remove annual and herbaceous plant debris. This reduces the chance of disease and insect problems in the spring. Disease & insects hide in plant debris throughout the winter months, only to rear their heads again in the spring. Diseased debris should not be placed in the compost pile as temperatures in most compost piles are not hot enough to kill all pathogens. (Temps. would have to rise above 140F. to kill disease organisms, but should not exceed 160F.) 3. Remove annual plants after a killing frost. Cut back all perennial plants that show signs of disease in the fall. Most perennial plants can be cut back, after a hard frost, to just above the crown as the nutrients will have been transferred to the roots. This is also a good time to dig and divide crowded perennials. Healthy perennials and grasses that provide winter interest can be cut back in the spring. Echinacea and Rudbeckia will attract and feed birds. Plants like Coral Bells, Butterfly Weed, and Chrysanthemums like the protection their leaves provide their crowns, so hold off cutting these back until spring. 4. Weed, especially perennial weeds; pulling them now when conditions are poor will cut down on problems in the spring. 5. In the vegetable garden, leave carrots, horseradish, leeks, parsnips, radishes & turnips in the garden to harvest through early winter. 6. After removing plant debris, the soil can be improved by incorporating organic material such as compost, well-rotted manure, or leaves. In Annual and Vegetable garden beds, till or work into the soil to increase drainage & reduce compaction. Tilling also exposes insects that plan to overwinter. In Perennial beds, do not till or work into the soil as you may injure perennial plant roots. Add 2 to 3 mulch to prevent damage from freezing or thawing. 7. Test the pH or acidity level of your soil. Fall is the best time of year to test the pH level of your soil as you can add the necessary amendments and allow them to disperse into your soil and begin to take effect over the winter. 8. Pruning of trees and shrubs is generally best left until late winter or spring. Pruning in fall will leave the cut stems vulnerable to further dieback at the cuts and in some years may encourage buds to sprout during mild winter weather. Dead or damaged limbs can be removed any time. 9. Clean up fallen tree leaves and turn them into soil enhancing compost. Dry leaves can be plowed or tilled under in the vegetable or annual flower beds to provide a source of organic matter. Shredding leaves first will speed the breakdown. Be sure to mix leaves into soil to avoid keeping the soil too cold and wet to work in the spring. 10. If you plan to put in a new bed in the spring or have heavily weeded area, cover the area with heavy plastic and leave it in place over the winter and into spring to kill the vegetation. 11. Empty, clean and disinfect all your outdoor containers to keep them from cracking during the winter. Store them upside down. 12. Cover your compost pile with plastic or a thick layer of straw before snow falls to help contain the heat. 13. Clean and sharpen tools, before storage. Dont forget to clean and sharpen pruners.

PLANT: Flowering bulbs, garlic, and rhubarb should be planted before the ground freezes. Sow seeds of spinach; theyll start growing for you in early spring. Plant a cover crop on your vegetable garden and till it in next spring. This will protect the soil during the winter and add nutrients to the soil next spring. Fall is great time to plant trees and shrubs, but be sure to water them until the ground freezes. PROTECT: Shield plants animals might eat with fencing and or tree guards. Make sure all tender bulbs are stores for the winter. Mound soil around the base of grafted roses; remember to remove it in the spring. Stop fertilizing plants so new growth wont get damaged by temperature drops. When the leaves have dropped, deciduous varieties should be lightly tied with twine to hold their branches against the weight of heavy snow and ice. FALL IS A GOOD TIME START: A compost pile. Youve got the stuff you just pulled out of your beds (not diseased materials). Shred and add your leaves to the pile. Leaf mold makes beautiful soil. Consider mulching for less weeds in the spring and better soil. A layer of mulch in the fall will suppress weed germination in the spring, while its protecting your plants. Make sure you weed first. So many people I coach choose to overwhelm themselves by worrying about what will happen in the next week, month, year, or 20 years. They become anxious by living way out of today. Green Not A Buzzword But A Way Of Living For Seniors
The senior demographic is quite possibly the best generation to emulate when trying to live an environmentally responsible lifestyle. Thats because so many of the guidelines for being green are concepts that have been a part of seniors lives for decades. A portion of todays seniors grew up during the Depression, when recycling and conservation werent the trends du jour, but survival strategies. In a time when money was scarce, many people made due with the resources they were dealt, stretching dollars just to stay afloat. Many of the concepts associated with todays environmental movement are strikingly similar to the ones employed during the Depression. The behaviors of an elderly parent or grandparent that may have seemed eccentric or odd at one time are now turning out to be what many people are embracing in order to live green. Concepts like relying on reusable handkerchiefs instead of disposable tissues; reusing lightly-soiled napkins; collecting discarded items from the curb and repairing them for renewed use; saving cans or food jars and using them to store other items; buying local products from smaller vendors; and similar things are methods of living ingrained in the persona of many older people. Frugality and awareness of what things cost and what constitutes waste are other concepts seniors know well. Many have never adapted to the notion that products are disposable, preferring instead to hold onto appliances, electronics, clothing, and other items because they still have utility, not because the current season dictates they should be upgraded. In 2008, Harris Interactive polled Baby Boomers ages 45 to 62 about their interest in the environment. Ninety-four percent of respondents said they took steps in the past 6 months to do something green. More than 80 percent were concerned about the environmental legacy that would be left for their grandchildren.

Choosing to walk or ride a bike instead of getting behind the wheel may be not only environmentally friendly, but its financially savvy as well. Here are some ways of living straight out of the Great Depres-sion that can be put to use today. * Use the milk-man. Although it may seem like the milkman is extinct, milk and other dairy products can still be delivered straight to a persons home from a local dairy or farm. Adding re-usable milk bottles re-duces the reliance on disposable containers, while buying local cuts down on the fuel costs necessary to transport products. * Pass down
Seniors Can Prevent Falls

Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths. They are also one of the most common reasons seniors visit the emergency rooms for trauma each year. Falls are largely preventable. More than one-third of adults aged 65 or older fall each year in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Many of these falls lead to serious injuries, such as head trauma, hip fractures, other fractures, and bruising. Due to the nature of bones becoming more brittle as a person ages, falls that would be minor for someone younger can be dangerous to older adults. Most fractures experienced by older adults are due to falls. The risk for injury increases the older a person is, say experts. And falls can also contribute to early
death. The key to reducing injury is to prevent falls and ready the body should a fall occur. * Exercise regularly, as much as is possible for your level of health. Low-impact activities, such as Tai Chi and yoga can improve balance, flexibility and strength. * Ask your doctor to review your medications to see if any side effects are loss of balance, vertigo or something that can compromise mobility. Some medicines may also contribute to fragile bones. * Improve the lighting in your home. Illuminate staircases and entryways. Place night lights in bathrooms or hallways for ease of traveling in dim light. * Most falls occur in the bathroom and kitchen. In the bathroom, place grab bars that make it easier to enter and exit the shower. Consider using a seat in the shower if you become lightheaded or feel unbalanced. * Have your vision checked by a professional every year to
ensure your prescription is unchanged. If your glasses or contact lenses are adding difficulty to walking properly, address this with your eye doctor. * Look around the home and identify potential fall hazards, such as unsecured rugs or cluttered furniture. Remove the hazards. * Use an assistance device if you feel unsteady. A cane or walker can provide a little more balance, if needed. * Wear shoes or slippers with nonslip soles for better traction. * Ask for help with tasks that involve climbing, heacy lifting or standing on a stool or ladder. * Sit on the edge of the bed for a few minutes before standing up. This will enable your blood pressure to equalize and prevent dizziness while standing. * Limit alcohol consumption, especially if it can interfere with medication you are taking. * Eat a balanced diet and take a calcium supplement to help strengthen bones.

When The Empty Nest Becomes Full Again

Soaring unemployment numbers, rising prices on necessities and stricter rules regarding qualifying for a home mortgage have become the norm. As a sideeffect, many adult children are finding difficulty making ends meet. The solution for many is to ask Mom or Dad if they can move back home.
Young adults and even established families are finding that the economic crunch is taking its toll on their ability to make it on their own. The scarcity of jobs and high foreclosure rates is leading a number of adult-age children to solicit their parents for a place to stay. While the situation is often billed to be temporary, the economic downturn might linger longer than expected.
Recent census figures indicate that more than 80 million parents who generally would be empty nesters actually have at least one grown child living at home. Whether this is a result of the economic downturn, adult children caring for aging parents or another financial situation, the rates are growing. Whats happening is that individuals who grew accustomed to their independent lifestyles are forced once again to make compromises living under the same roof. The results can be tenuous. H o w e v e r, there are steps to take to help the situation work. * There has to be a legitimate need for children to move back home. It cant simply be a whim or lack of ambition. * Parents should see a real need to help their child or children. * The situation should be presented as a temporary one, with a firm deadline. Children are expected to find new living arrangements as soon as possible. * The children contribute to the household
in a tangible method. This can involve financial contributions, housework, caring for parents or a combination of factors. * It is important for the child to have a good relationship with Mom. Studies indicate that a happier household is indicative of mother and child cohabitating well. The relationship with the father isnt as important, behavior experts say. * The parents relationship should be strong and established. Newlyweds welcoming an adult child (who will be a stepchild to one parent) could face tension. * Set ground rules for the house. Remember, the child is living under his or her parents roof. Parents rules apply. * Give each other the space needed. Three or more adults living in a space can eat away at nerves, especially if everyone has their idea of how things should be done. Respect others privacy and spend time alone when possible.

FALL FIREARMS DEER SEASONS MAKING A DIFFERENCE Harrisburg - The states early firearms antlerless deer seasons - early muzzleloader season, Oct. 13-20, and special firearms season for junior, senior, active duty military and certain disabled hunters, Oct. 18-20 - will soon be here, along with seasons for squirrels and grouse, so there will be plenty of hunting opportunities across the state, according to Carl G. Roe, Pennsylvania Game Commission executive director. Roe noted that these early antlerless deer seasons provide hunters more ways to fit deer hunting into their busy schedules, and offer a more relaxing hunt to those who prefer warmer weather and fewer hunters in the woods. Although the October antlerless seasons increase hunting opportunities, their harvests still are controlled by antlerless deer license allocations, which are set to remove a pre-determined number of antlerless deer from a Wildlife Management Unit (WMU), Roe said. Hunters heading afield for the October firearms seasons likely will find that deer numbers vary by locality. To participate in the early muzzleloader season (Oct. 1320), hunters must have a general hunting license, muzzleloader stamp and a valid antlerless deer license or Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) antlerless deer permit. Hunters may use in-line, percussion and flintlock
muzzleloaders during the early muzzleloader season. They also may use scopes, peep-sights and other lawful sighting devices on muzzleloaders during the October hunt. To participate in the special firearms antlerless season (Oct. 18-20), hunters must have a general hunting license and a valid antlerless deer license, and qualify in one of the following license categories: resident junior or senior license holders; nonresident junior license holder; nonresident adult license holders age 65 or older; hold a disabled person permit to use a vehicle as a blind; be residents who are serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces; or qualify for license and fee exceptions under section 2706. Sporting arms permitted include: manually-operated center-fire rifles, handguns and shotguns; 44-caliber or larger muzzleloading long guns; 50caliber or larger muzzleloading handguns; long, recurve or compound bows; and crossbows. Based on a recent change in state law and Game Commission regulations, these two antlerless deer seasons now are open to participants of the Mentored Youth Hunting Program, which was created for those under the age of 12. Mentored youth must obtain a MYHP permit ($2.70) for the current year, and they may receive only one antlerless deer license by transfer during a license year. Adult mentors may transfer more than one antlerless deer license, but they must be to different mentored youth. The transfer is valid only if
done in the WMU for which the antlerless deer license was issued. (Note: A proposed change in regulations to allow for the transfer of one DMAP antlerless deer permit to a mentored youth wont take effect until the 2013-14 seasons, as the proposal still requires final adoption by the Board.) For antlered deer, the mentored youth must use the harvest tag that comes with the MYHP permit. Hunters are advised that they may take only antlerless deer in the early muzzleloader and special firearms seasons, and that they may hunt only in the WMU or DMAP areas for which they have obtained antlerless deer licenses. An antlerless deer is defined as a deer without antlers, or a deer with spike antlers less than three inches in length. Muzzleloader and special firearms season hunters are reminded that when multiple harvests of deer per day are permitted, only one deer at a time may be taken. Before attempting to take an additional deer, the first deer must be lawfully tagged. However, in Special Regulations Area counties of Allegheny, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia, hunters may shoot multiple deer before tagging. Deer must be tagged immediately after they are harvested and before the carcass is moved. The tag must be attached to the ear and remain attached until the deer is processed for consumption or prepared for mounting. continued on next page...

Successful bear hunters must attach the bear harvest tag to the bears ear and contact the appropriate region office within 24 hours for instructions to have the animals checked. Office telephone numbers are listed on page 5 of the 2012-13 Hunting and Trapping Digest. Pennsylvanias black bear population is larger and more widely distributed than ever, and bear-human incidents are becoming commonplace, especially in more developed areas, said Carl G. Roe, Game Commission executive director. Continued expansion of residential development into areas occupied by black bears has resulted in more frequent sightings and encounters between people and bears. There are low bear densities in WMUs 2B, 5B, 5C and 5D, which all have relatively high human population densities. As part of the Game Commissions bear management plan, the agency wants to continue to have a minimal number of bears in these areas, and hunters to have more opportunity to take bears there. f
FALL FIREARMS continued... Any hunter who by accident or mistake kills an illegal deer is required to deliver the carcass - entrails removed within 24 hours of the kill to any Game Commission officer in the county where the deer was killed. A written statement also must be provided to the officer explaining when, where and how the accident or mistake occurred. The deer must be tagged with the appropriate deer harvest tag. Hunters may purchase muzzleloader licenses at any time. The license entitles them to hunt in both the fall antlerless muzzleloader season and the traditional flintlock season. Regulations for the after-Christmas muzzleloader season remain unchanged: hunters may use only primitive type muzzleloading long guns 44-caliber or larger with flintlock ignition systems and primitive sighting devices. Fiber-optic inserts are permitted sighting devices. Hunters in either October firearms season are required to wear 250 square inches of fluorescent orange clothing on the head, chest and back combined at all times. Bowhunters afield

This opportunity was approved by the Board of Game Commissioners as a means of achieving the agencys goal of reducing bear-human conflicts in these urbanized areas of southwestern and southeastern corners of the state. Deer hunters who also possess a valid bear license will be able harvest a bear in WMUs 2B, 5B, 5C and 5D from Oct. 1320 during the muzzleloader season, or from Oct. 18-20 during the three special firearms deer season for junior, senior, active duty military and certain disabled hunters. GAME COMMISSION OFFERS WARM-WEATHER VENISON CARE TIPS Improperly field-dressing a deer and warm weather can impact the quality of venison warns Dr. Walter Cottrell, Pennsylvania Game Commission wildlife veterinarian. The first step in making sure that the venison reaches the table in the best possible condition is sighting in and practicing with your sporting arm, Dr. Cottrell said. Coupling that with knowledgeable shot placement ensures a clean kill and minimal damage to edible parts of the animal. After properly tagging their deer, hunters should wear latex or nitrile gloves to remove the entrails. Care should be taken to remove entrails without rupturing them, and hunters should drain excess blood remaining in the cavity. Do not wash out the deer with water or in a creek. Wipe down the cavity with a dry cloth or paper towels, being careful to remove all visible blood and hair. Once entrails are removed, the deer should be taken from the field and cooled down as soon as possible. The cool-down process begins when you field-dress the deer. To hasten the cooldown process, skin the deer and hang the carcass in the shade, refrigerate it or place a bag of ice in the body cavity. Never place a deer carcass - with or without the hide on it - in direct sunlight. For those who process the deer themselves, the first step after tagging and field-dressing the deer - is to remove the hide, which comes off easier if the front legs are cut off at the elbows, and the rear legs are removed just below the knee joint, with a saw. Use a knife to cut the hide from where each leg was sawed off at the elbow, back to the body trunk. Cutting the rear legs just below the joint also makes it easier to hang a carcass on a gambrel or meat hooks. Hang the carcass by the large tendons on the back legs. Next, the hide is pulled from the carcass, starting at the rear end and working downward toward the head. Peel it from the hind quarters first, then cut the tailbone and pull it down to the shoulders. Work the hide over the shoulders and pull it away from the legs. Finally, pull the hide down the neck as close to the base of the skull as possible, and then cut the head from the carcass with a clean saw. Remove all of the trachea or windpipe. The remaining hide-free carcass should be wiped off immediately. If you use water to clean the cavity or carcass, dry the meat immediately. Wet or damp meat spoils more quickly and is more prone to nurture bacteria. Rinsing meat with water also can hasten the spread of bacteria. Inspect the carcass again for any blood and hair. Its also a good idea to remove large fatty deposits to improve the quality of your meat. It helps lessen that game taste some people dislike about venison. Please note, though, that fat is removed from the carcass with greater ease after it has cooled. Following these steps will prepare your carcass for hanging in a meat processors refrigerator, or quartering and placing it in your refrigerator. If the air temperature is above 50 degrees, hunters should get their carcass refrigerated as soon as possible. The bacterial load of a deer harvested in warm weather will multiply quickly, so its important to dress the deer as soon as possible, transport it from the field and remove the hide, wipe it down with a clean, dry towel to remove blood and refrigerate the carcass, Dr. Cottrell said. Cooling the carcass will help prevent bacterial growth. Hunters who are interested in becoming more selfsufficient also can de-bone the carcass. The cuts are relatively simple and can be made while the deer is hanging or from a plastic sheet-covered table. An inexpensive plastic fluorescent light cover which can be purchased at any home supply store can be used for a cutting board. Deboning ensures the hunter can inspect and trim excess fat and damaged meat from his or her cuts of venison before freezing. First, remove the shoulders with a filleting knife. This can be done without cutting a bone, by cutting behind the shoulderblade. Next, remove the meat from the shoulder with a filleting knife. Hindquarters can be removed from the carcass next by using a saw or by cutting from the underside with a knife. If you plan to have steaks or jerky made from them, dont make any further cuts. Inside the body cavity, against the backbone, are the tenderloins, considered the best cut of meat on a deer. Use your hand, and a knife when necessary, to pull them free. Outside the cavity, along the backbone, are the loin muscles or backstraps, which also are outstanding cuts. Again, using a filleting knife and your fingers, slide the blade along the spine to separate each back-strap and then finish each piece by cutting in along the top of the ribs and under the muscle to the first cut youve made. The remainder of the carcass can be de-boned with a filleting knife. Try to trim fat from meat where you can and wipe off blood whenever it is encountered. De-boning can be done relatively quickly, but remember, every ounce of meat you remove increases your trimmings for sausage, bologna, meat sticks or other products. De-boned meat can be taken to a meat processor immediately, or frozen and taken later. Hindquarters may be frozen for processing later as jerky or dried venison. Steaks should be cut fresh. Its always a good idea to become self-sufficient as a hunter, because of the satisfaction youll derive from processing a deer all by yourself and the extra care and quality control youll provide, noted Cal DuBrock, Pennsylvania Game Commission Bureau of Wildlife Management director. It also broadens your hunting experience and makes you more conscious of where you need to place the crosshairs when you shoot. The Game Commission offers two free brochures on venison care and field-dressing deer. The first, To Field Dress a Deer, offers step-by-step instructions - with illustrations - on how to field-dress a deer. The second, Venison Neednt Be Pot Luck, offers field-dressing instructions and cooking tips. To assist hunters in getting the most of their wild game harvests, the Game Commission offers a two-disk series, produced by Jerry Chiappetta and featuring Certified Master Chef Milos Cihelka. These DVDs - Wild Game Field Care and Cooking and Upland Game Birds, Small Game & Waterfowl show step-by-step the best care for game animals from the field to the table. The videos are available from the Game Commissions web site (www.pgc.state.pa.us). MS, 2001 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17110-9797. f THREE WAYS AVAILABLE TO REPORT A HARVEST Those participating in the upcoming October antlerless deer seasons will be able to file their harvest reports through the Pennsylvania Game Commissions online system, the tollfree Interactive Voice Response (IVR) harvest reporting system telephone number, which is 1-855-PAHUNT1 (1-855-724-8681), or via postage-paid postcard. To report a deer harvest online, go to the Game Commissions web site (www.pgc.state.pa.us), click on Report Your Harvest above the Quick Clicks box in the right-hand column, check Harvest Reporting, scroll down and click on the Start Here button at the bottom of the page, choose the method of validating license information, and click on the checkbox for the harvest tag being reported. A series of options will appear for a hunter to report a harvest. After filling in the harvest information, click on the Continue button to review the report and then hit the Submit button to complete the report. Failing to hit the Submit button will result in a harvest report not being completed. Hunters who use the toll-free number to submit a harvest report will receive a confirmation number, which they should write down and keep as proof of reporting. Those who report online should print or save a copy of their harvest report submission as proof of reporting. Roe noted that hunters should have their Customer Identification Number (hunting license number) and field harvest tag information with them when they call, and that multiple harvests can be reported in a single call. He also stressed callers should speak clearly and distinctly when reporting harvests, especially when providing the Wildlife Management Unit number and letter. Hunters may report one or more harvests in a single session, Roe said. Responses to all harvest questions are required. Roe noted that hunters still have the option to file harvest report postcards, which are included as tear-out sheets in the current digest. We certainly are encouraging hunters to use the online reporting system, which will ensure that their harvest is recorded, Roe said. Either way, the more important point is that all hunters who harvest a deer report it to the agency.

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR VOLUNTEER FIRE AND AMBULANCE SERVICE GRANTS NEARS, SAYS CAUSER Harrisburg- Rep. Martin Causer (R-Turtlepoint) is encouraging volunteer fire companies and ambulance services throughout Pennsylvania who have not already done so to apply for the 2012 Volunteer Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant Program (VFCVASGP). The application period closes on Oct. 19. The General Assembly recently adopted Act 78 of 2012 to reauthorize the grant program for an additional four years and increase the total grant funding available from $25 million to $30 million. The new law also adds approximately 35 career fire departments to the list of organizations eligible for grant funding. The grants may be used for construction or renovation of a units station, the purchase or repair of equipment, training or debt reduction. Grants to eligible fire companies will be contingent on their agreeing to participate in and report information using the Pennsylvania Fire Information Reporting System (PennFIRS). During the last decade, $3.2 million has been awarded to about 40 volunteer fire and ambulance companies in Cameron, McKean and Potter counties. The program is funded through state gaming proceeds. Club, 4-H Club, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. At the present time we are in adequate financial position. We do, however, need more help with the few fundraisers we hold to help us meet our expenses (average approx. $500 per mo.). Our major fundraiser is the Bingo Hall at the fair and we are woefully short of help every year. We are putting out a plea to anyone that would like to see us continue stocking fish for the kids, keep the rifle range open and provide a meeting place for area youth groups to consider lending a hand. All we ask is that you try to attend a few meetings a year and attend one fundraiser. They are both fun and rewarding. So talk with a friend, relative or club member and consider attending the reorganizational meeting on Sunday, January 6th at 6:00pm at the Millport Club. We need your assistance and the community needs the club to continue the 55 plus year old tradition of supporting sportsmen and OV youth.
