INTRODUCTION This topic is about Yungay city, its a Peruvian Province with beautiful landscapes, that was appointed by the Italian naturalist wise Antonio Raimondi as Yungay Beauty in addition, Yungay is considered the capital highest tropical mountain range of the world, it`s the Cordillera Blanca. The Yungay Province includes part of Callejn de Huaylas, Callejn de Conchucos and the coast of Ancash also its located between 444miles to 468miles north of Lima, the Peruvian republic capital. The old city was constituted by people with history and wonderful culture, that began in the early civilization season and the largest representation is Guitarrero cave (10600 B.C.E) its sign that our land was origin of the agriculture in south America. Everybody saw bloom, fade and rebuild their cities many times for thousands years in addition the benevolent weather, soil fertility and the natural beauty of the territory made their inhabitants faced with earthquakes and landslides destroyed over and once more to the villages of the province, but yungainos were always there challenging natural disasters, proud because they were born in fertile and beautiful land, rebuilding their house with high forehead, still looking al the snowy mountains his eternal partners. They are silent witnesses as Yungay was in the past but is a fact that Yungay was recovered thanks to the strength of the survivors and enduring of their districts which together form a true paradise admired by many tourists, they find diversity of customs, ecological, flora and fauna in unique, beautiful and majestic places.

CHAPTER I YUNGAY PROVINCE 1. TOPONIMY YUNGAY originates from the Quechua Yunga or Yunka that means valley warmand adding y their designation is go over therefore Yungay means Go to siteover the warm valley 2. LOCATION AND GEOGRAPHY Yungay province is one of the Ancashs twentyprovinces and includes part of the callejn of Conchucos and Huaylas because there are urban areas and countryside in the province. This province is located in central Ancash department to 58 Km. North Huaraz,Yungay adjoins north with callejn de huaylas, south with provinces Asuncin, Carhuaz and Huaraz, east with provinces Pomabamba, MariscalLuzuriaga y Carlos FermnFitzcarrald and west with provinces Casma and Santa. Yungay has eight districts and they are:Mancos city, it means "place under the Huascaran" there, you can see really good the Huascaran. Ranrahirca city, it means rocky mountain, in this place you can buy delicious breads. Cascapara city,it means "rain place". In this district you can visit lakes and ancient ruins.Quillo city, it means "radiant moon land". In this place there are many religious celebrations as the "Cruz Huate". Shupluy city, their name is because in this place there are plants with this name, near this place you can visit the Guitarrero cave.Matacoto city, it means "elevated land". There, you can see and buy delicious avocados. Yanama city, it means go at black land, when you travel there, you can see the Llanganuco lake. And end Yungay city.

3. HISTORY SUMMARY There is evidence that in the early civilization season existed little villages in Yungay, The largest representation is Guitarrero cave (10600 B.C.E). It was discover for Thomas F. Lynch in 1969 between Shupluy city and Santa river. Also there are other historical sites in Llanganuco, Keushu, Huantsakay and Loma. After that, those lands were absorved for the empire Incas. They was working the land for many years until in 1533 Don Hernando Pizarro came Yungay and founded the Spanish city in 1540. In addition, thanks to help of Mrs. Ines de Salas widow of Lopez Villoso, they created the first school for the people in Yungay.After that there were uprisings against Spanish rule and On January 20, 1839 was made the Battle of Yungay against the Chileans, at the Mountain "Pan de Azcar" and along the River Ancash. On September 1860, March 1868 and June 1869, the wise ItalianAntonio Raimondi visited and studied the natural resources of the future Yungay province, giving it the descriptions of "Yungay, beautiful people" and "The most beautiful picture that you can admire" In 1891 the Swiss architect Mr. Arnold Ruska started construction of theYungay's cemetery. After, on October 28 in 1904 formalized the establishment of the Yungay province. Later yungay was affect for natural disasters, the first in Ranrahirca (1962) when there was glide of Huascarn's snow and the second in Yungay (1970) that disappeared all the city below of rocks, ice and mud, this disaster was a serious event of our country.

CHAPTER II YUNGAY: NEW CITY 1. HISTORY After the creation of Yungay province, a violent earthquake shook the Huascaran causing an avalanche of ice and mud on May 31, 1970, in this tragedy killed many people and disappeared completely the Yungay city. Only a year after the tragedy, they builtagain new town of Yungay in the North near the hill "Atma". This was initiative of the people that lost all because the activities nature don't can predict, On May 31 in 1971 was officially the founding of the new Yungay city. The event may 31, will remember always the kill and revival, the reason because the yungainos are strong of soul and hearth. 2. YUNGAY: TOURIST PLACE Currently the new Yungay city is recovering and has interesting places as LlanganucoLake, the "nevado Huascaran", the Christ of Yungay and many archaeological sites around the city in which you can see the majesty of flora and fauna that has Yungay. You can also enjoy a variety of typical food, folklore and music, which thankfully retain their native virtuality in spite of the time. People in Yungay are easygoing, reliable and kind, it's a reason why visit this place because is sure that will a wonderful and unique experience. The nature and the environment surrounding the city is beautiful and you can enjoy beautiful landscapes, take pictures, hang out with your friends to walk, delicious food, a magical culture and the company of nice people.

Yungay is a town that has many features to offer visitors. Is very important to know the beauty of our nature, culture and folklore around us because we are part of this environment, we are people of this land and therefore we should invite more people to enjoy here. Also in this way we will help increase tourism in the Callejon de Huaylas.
