GUJARATI GAMES CARNIVAL 2011 MALACCA 11th, 12th & 13th March 2011
The Gujarati Bi-Annual Carnival is set to begin on the 11th March 2011. All preparations for the games had started since October 2010 and now we are at the final stage of ensuring we maintain our status as the Overall Champions. Gujarati Association Wilayah Persekutuan & Selangor are the defending champions for senior/junior Football, Carom, Badminton, Netball & Table Tennis. This year we hope to retain all the above and add the trophies for Chess and Football. The coordinators have been putting all their effort to ensure we are fully prepared to meet the challenges provided by the other three participants namely Malacca, Singapore and Penang.

We will give our best. that is the entire GAWPS teams

commitment. What are the objectives of the Gujarati Games Carnival??
Fostering friendship between Gujaratis all over Malaysia & Singapore. Enhancing the values of sportsmanship and healthy living. Creating a forum to discuss issues relating to Gujaratis eg. Cultural, religion & language. Promoting unity between all Gujaratis to allow prospects of business, work, education & marriage. Creating a network over Malaysia among the Gujaratis where we can benefit from the contacts of all Malaysian and Singaporean businessmen & professionals.

Thus the Carnival is not only about games, it has tremendous other benefits and values.

Details for the Carnival in Malacca
1. Depart for Malacca on Thursday 10th March 2011 at sharp 7.00 pm by bus. Meet at Samaj Premises. Transport to be provided for all players and supporters who have registered by 28th February 2011. (Dinner served to all from 6pm to 6.45pm) 2. Departure from Malacca on Sunday 13th March 2011 at about 3.00 pm by bus. 3. Accommodation to be provided for all players and supporters at the DVillage Hotel, Ayer Keroh, Malacca for Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. Note that players are to pay only RM 100.00 for the 3 nights on a sharing basis. All supporters are to be charged the subsidized rates for the 3 nights stay at RM 175.00 per adult. 4. Children below 15 years who are regularly attending practices pay a flat rate of RM 50.00 whereas supporters below 15 years to pay RM 75.00. Note: All those who wish to travel and arrange their own accommodation MUST register and pay a subsidized rate of RM 100 per person for all the meals and t-shirt. ** Supporters who have not registered and without the GGC tags will not be allowed entry to the Games Village. 5. All meals starting from breakfast on Friday 11th March 2011 till lunch on Sunday 13th March 2011 inclusive of breakfast and dinners will be provided for all players and supporters registered. 6. Transport from Games Village to the hotel and back will be arranged by GAWPS for all players and supporters. 7.
