Our benevolent offering will be for the Family Life Center in both the morning and evening service. After morning services, please join us for our monthly fellowship luncheon at 12 noon. Please bring your own place settings and beverages; as well as a main dish and a side dish to share!

ANNOUNCEMENTS November Thank Offering During the month of November, Cedar Church will collect our annual Thank Offering for the work of OPC Foreign & Home Missions and Christian Education. Each Sunday in November, we will highlight one aspect of the OPCs ministry that is served by this offering. Please remember this ministry generously. Mission Reports This month we will be celebrating Gods work in OPC home and foreign missions. After the fellowship luncheon on November 11, we will be treated to a report on the work in Uganda from Pastor Mick Knierim. On Friday, November 16 at 7pm, you are invited to the home of Sam & Hope Mason to hear from Christina Hartwell about the work in Northeast Asia. Calling All Musicians Young & Old! Lynn Igo is organizing our soloists and duets for the Christmas Luncheon on December 9th. Please contact Lynn if you can contribute or if you have any questions. Please Reserve Last Two Rows of Chairs Cedar session would request that the congregation reserve the final two rows of chairs in the gymnasium for visitors, late comers and families with small children. ANNOUNCEMENTS DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays - "DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a separation or divorce. The seminar features practical suggestions, guidance and reassurance. Those who attend will discover: what emotions to expect during the coming days, what to do about family traditions, how to help your children, and where to find comfort, strength and hope in a seemingly hopeless time. "DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays will be held Monday, November 5 from 7:00-8:30pm at Fair Haven Ministries in Hudsonville. There is no need to pre-register and childcare will be available for children up to 5 years of age. GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays - "GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays - No matter how long its been since your loved one died, grief can make the holidays a painful time. But theres hope. Join us for an encouraging seminar that will help you survive the holidays and discover new reasons to enjoy them again. Youll discover: what emotions to expect during the coming days, how to prepare for the holidays, and how the holidays can help you heal. "GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays will be held Sunday, November 4 from 3:00-5:00pm and Monday, November 5 from 6:30-8:30pm (identical sessions) at Fair Haven Ministries in Hudsonville. There is no need to pre-register. Blood Donations Needed - The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood donations in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. A Drive will be held on Friday, November 9, at the Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church in Hudsonville. You may walk in anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. or call 1-800-REDCROSS to make an appointment. A donor card or a driver's license is required. 16 year olds are eligible with signed parental consent. Download a consent form at redcrossblood.org/students/sixteen/greatlakes. It is recommended to eat a meal four hours or less before giving blood and to be wellhydrated. Hillcrest CRC is located at 3617 Hillcrest Road in Hudsonville.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Holiday Treasures - Come see the transformation of your favorite resale shop into a Christmas wonderland full of beautiful Christmas trees adorned with ornaments and lights and much more. Store hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturdays from 10am -3pm. All revenue from Loves Treasures and Holiday Treasures go to support the need-meeting ministry of Love INC. Veterans Day - Zion Christian School welcomes all military veterans and the Zion community to attend its annual Veterans Day Assembly to be held in the gym on Thursday, November 8, at 2:30. This 40 minute, student-led assembly will include a presentation by a guest speaker as well as special singing and band performances by Zions students. All veterans and supporters are welcome to attend. Biblical Study Tour of Israel - The Session of Redeemer OPC in Ada is sponsoring a study tour of Israel in the summer of 2013. Rev. Eric Hausler (Pastor of Redeemer OPC) will be co-leading a 13-day extensive Israel study tour June 17-29, 2013 along with Dr. John DeLancey. Rev. DeLancey has led over twenty tours to Israel. Pastor Hausler will be doing the Bible teaching and Rev. DeLancey will be teaching on the historical and archeological sites. Mel Trotter Ministries will be distributing 500 complete Thanksgiving meals on November 19th-100 from each of the 5 thrift stores. If you know of needy families in the Jenison, Hudsonville, Grandville area, please have them come into the Jenison Mel Trotter Thrift Store at 7500 Cottonwood Drive anytime between now and November 19th to sign up for a Thanksgiving meal and to receive their voucher (phone calls will not be accepted). On November 19th, they will return again between 1:00 5:00 pm with their voucher and a picture ID to pick up their turkey and all the fixings.
