Tellabs 8100 Managed Access System G.SHDSL Line Interface Unit OMH-A/SCO
Dense G.SHDSL interface unit enabling fully managed copper access with 208 kbit/s12 Mbit/s line speeds.

Overview
The OMH-A/SCO interface unit uses ITU-T G.SHDSL based technology. The SCO module has eight interfaces, each of which can support symmetrical data rates up to 3088 kbps. One, two and four pair modes are supported. The OMH-A/SCO unit is designed for connecting the G.SHDSL network terminating units (NTUs) to Tellabs 8100 Managed Access System. The OMH-A/SCO unit can be used in Tellabs 8140 Midi Node, Tellabs 8150 Basic Node, Tellabs 8160 Accelerator Node A111 and Tellabs 8170 Cluster Nodes. OMH-A/SCO is configured and monitored with the Tellabs 8000 Network Nanager, the network management system of the Tellabs 8100 system.

Applications
The OMH-A/SCO unit is designed for connecting the G.SHDSL based network terminating units (NTUs) such as Tellabs 8110 CTE-S, CTE-R and STE-10M NTUs to the Tellabs 8100 system. The OMH-A/SCO can also be used for trunk connections with another OMH-A/SCO unit.

Product Description
The OMH-A/SCO unit is configured and monitored with the Tellabs 8000 Network Manager. It supports G.SHDSL transmission over physical 1-, 2- or 4-pair copper wires using TC-PAM line code. Line rates of 208, 592, 1168, 2320 and 3088 kbps over 1-, 2- and 4-pairs are supported. The highest data rate of 12 Mbps can be reached by using 4-pair mode and 3088 kbps line rate with the Tellabs 8110 Network Terminating Unit STE10M. The OMH-A/SCO unit can be used to replace the OMH/SCO unit of the Tellabs 8100 system.

Network Management
The OMH-A/SCO unit is integrated with Tellabs 8000 Network Manager from R15A onwards. With earlier releases the OMH-A/SCO unit behaves as the OMH/SCO unit.
