VOTER INFORMATION
As Catholics we are not single issue voters. A candidates position on a single issue is not sufficient to guarantee a voters support. Yet a candidates position on a single issue that involves an intrinsic evil, such as support for legal abortion or the promotion of racism, may legitimately lead a voter to disqualify a candidate from receiving support. Faithful Citizenship USCCB 2007/2011 Since it is difficult for the average citizen to find accurate information about how the many candidates stand on the life issues, Illinois Citizens for Life has prepared nonpartisan voter information based on responses to a questionnaire, public statements, and/or voting records. This guide is not an endorsement and may not be used to advance the candidacy of any individual. For information please access the ICL web site at www.icl-life.com or call 630-852-5448 for assistance. Thank you for exercising your Christian responsibility to vote with an informed conscience. Do Dogs Go To Heaven? Mortality, Grief and Eternal Life Wednesday Nov. 7 at 9:00 am
East room of the rectory
The final week addresses the Christian attitude towards aging, death, grief and eternal life. It speaks of the latter as a consequence of salvation wherein people are invited to have an eternal perspective and begin to live Heaven now through their relationship with Christ. Through Jesus overcoming sin and death, humanity through binding itself to Him-may participate in this victory, a consequence of which is eternal life.

Enlighten the minds of our people [in] America. May we choose a President of the United States, and other government officials, according to Your Divine Will. Give our citizens the courage to choose leaders of our nation who respect the sanctity of unborn human life, the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of marital relations, the sanctity of the family, and the sanctity of the aging. Grant us the wisdom to give You, what belongs to You, our God. If we do this, as a nation, we are confident You will give us an abundance of Your blessings through our elected leaders. Sunday for prayer, Bible reading, other spiritual reading and reflection, and personal devotions could greatly deepen our relationship with a God who wants to be close to us.
