NOW ACCEP TI NG ORDERS My Hampshire & Tamworth/Berkshire pigs are raised naturally outdoors on pasture with no antibiotics, free to root, play, wallow & explore which ensures happier, healthier animals. Heritage breed pigs have more intramuscular marbling of fat, which makes for moist olde-fashioned flavour. Once youve tasted it youll likely never choose commercial pork again. Rightly so.

Your order can be delivered in the next few weeks to Toronto (pick-up at Evergreen Brickworks Farmers Market ) or arrange pick up at the farm. P ACKAGES I NCLUDE: Incredibly delicious natural heritage pastured pork; a wish to be a more conscious carnivore; fence-mending; my caring for these lovely pigs; time spent watching spotted swine swim n snort in the farm pond during summers drought; the Discovery Channel film crew cavorting with them for a television episode to be aired in spring; hauling back-bender 40K grain bags out to the field for the pigs picnic; mixing hog breakfasts & porcine suppers twice daily for the last 200 days; feeding in the rain; fixing water hoses pierced by pig teeth; appreciation for good pig life; transportation; fuel; abattoir fees; government inspection; cutting; wrapping; frozen & freezer ready; smoking; sausage making and at your end, friendly folks gathered around a table of thoughtfully grown food....All you need to do is prepare with thankful reverence, and enjoy...

*Note: Loin chops are cut extra thick 1.25 & butt/shoulder chops are 1 thick. Sausages are Wholearth Farmstudios own recipe with no additives or filler. Our Olde-Fashioned Crackling Roasts have skin on & Hams are smoked over Cherrywood. Occasional items may be substituted for cuts of similar or greater value. Weights of individual items are approximate & may varytotal will always match or exceed stated weight.

The Whole Hog

A 250 live pig has a hanging weight averaging 180 lbs after processing. After trimming & boning the finished, cut & wrapped weight is about 140 lbs of pork. A Whole requires about 5.5 cubic feet of freezer space, and a Half requires 2.5 to 3 cubic feet. A cubic foot of freezer space holds 30 to 35 pounds of food.
