Why is it important to compare information from multiple sources when studying a topic?

Yesterday we looked at the actual stele that the code was written on. We also looked at an article on cuneiform writing and used the two sources in order to gain a better understanding of the topic. Today, we are going to look at the epilogue of Hammurabi's code and continue to to decide on whether his code is just. We will also compare it to the preamble to the US Constitution. Today we a going to read through document B, which is the epilogue to Hammurabi's code. Read through epilogue. Why did Hammurabi write the code? Is it a good reason for writing the code? Why are laws written nowadays? Hammurabi packet Circulate during pair.

We are now going to look at the preamble to the US constitution. Read through the preamble independently first. Now write down why the preamble was written.
