Design Concept
The emphasis on the design is to identify elements that can almost immediately display
a completely convincing unity of form in Islam that has an would maintain itself over
centuries.
Square Kufic:
The square kufic represent the Calligraphy Arts in Islam would that consist the variety
meanings and ecstatic value. The kufic Calligraphy been used the for the Museum
Souvenir Shop and other retail operations that bring the meaning of Islamic Arts
Dome Shape:
The Dome of the Rock (Al – Aqsa Mosque) in Jerusalem is the most ancient Islamic
Monument built between 688 and 692 AD still surviving in a taste of complete
cave through which the Prophet ascended to the sky. The Dome of the Rock is
architecturally quite unique and represents a work of Islamic art in its earliest forms
illustrated by a geometric mosaic designs that adorned the interior drum of The Dome
Geometric Patents
Geometric elements play a fundamental role in Islamic arts and designs. It is the art of
combining the multiple and the diverse, or unity in multiplicity to express the universe
based upon logic and order. The ten - sided polygon derived from a circle in the centre
of the dome shaped outline of the logo represents the foundation of all Islamic art forms
that are preserved in Muslim . The four- sided polygons radiated out and are met point
expresses a need for intense visual stimulation and the Islamic search for unity. In the
logo the four- sided polygons represents the search for the arts from all over the world,
and the six- sided polygons the discoveries to be preserved in the Museum.
Color
The color gold and black used in the design of logo consistent with the “kawah” or
Typeface
Garamond typeface is used for the name of the Museum in both Bahasa Malaysia and
English. Positioned directly beneath the dome shape the words “Malaysia” immediately

Divided into several strengths, Tuan Syed Mohamad Al-Bukhari is The Museum
Director, followed by The Finance Director Puan Sharifah Al-Bukhari is
responsible in finance and accounting including purchasing, cost control and

4. Maintenance Department
En Mazlan is the manager concern for this department. Supervise his
subordinates in any maintenance working progress in the building.
8. Curatorial Department
Headed by Mr. Lucien De Guise, and the main responsibility of this department is
come out with a fact precisely throughout the research of the artifacts and
findings before keep in the display units, besides publishing the book about the
museum and the interest of their findings that related with Islamic world, culture
and heritage.
9. Conservation Department
Under supervise by Ms. Josephine, since the arrival of the artifacts then through
the cleaning process, preserve and conserve before entering to the display unit
then to the gallery.
