The Giving Tree Starting the weekend of November 17th

Please consider sharing your blessings again this Christmas season with someone in need. Gift tags for those in need will be available on the Giving Tree in the Narthex November 17th. Please select a tag, purchase the item(s) listed, wrap your gift, attach the tag to the gift and place it under the Tree. Gifts must be placed under the Tree by 12 p.m. December 9th so that they may be delivered to the appropriate places by Christmas. Again this year we will be helping those at the Daybreak Shelter, Lambs Fold, Vilaseca Day Care Center and the Guardian Angel Home. As always, thank you for your generosity and supportyour gift may be the only gift someone at one of these organizations receives this Christmas.

Dear Family, Pope Benedict the 16th has proclaimed a special Year of Faith for the church beginning this fall. This is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the second Vatican council. Faith is the most precious gift that we have received. Faith in God, faith in our church , faith in our families, and the gift of faith within ourselves. Our faith helps us receive the gift of eternal life from Jesus. There is nothing we can do to earn this gift. We receive this gift by believing that Jesus died for us and accepting Him as our Lord and Savior. Faith is the key for miracles and healing. We would like every family to have a wonderful book called Magnificat: Year of Faith Companion. There is a reflection for every day of the year. It is a wonderful tool to increase our faith. Copies of the book are available at each entrance of the church, we ask for a $3 per book to cover our cost. Please feel free to purchase more than one book. Thank you to those who attended, purchased raffle tickets or bid on auction items for our annual school fundraiser Jubilation An Affair To Remember. ST. DENNIS FUNDRAISER SUCCESS CONTINUES Now Gas/Electric bills may be paid through Ambit. Literature for the Soul Book Club

Open to anyone age 16+ who wants to explore literary selections with others from St. Dennis and our local community. $2 per session or bring a snack to share. Our next meeting is November 18th in the Stalzer Room from 6:30-8:30pm. The November selection is Beautiful Outlaw by John Eldredge and the January selection is Why the Nativity? by David Jeremiah.
