Equipping and Empowering Kentucky
Baptist Churches and Christians.
Cultivating Partnerships.
Under the theme “Unity in Christ,” the three-day Atlanta Celebration will feature speakers and presenters who
will address historic Baptist Commitments and explore other opportunities to work together as Christian part-
ners. The Biblical text for the Celebration is Luke 4: 18-19. Themes for the five plenary sessions are:
The New Baptist Covenant is an informal alliance of more than 30 racially, geographically, and theologically
diverse Baptist organizations from throughout North America that claim more than 20 million members. Repre-
sentatives of these Baptist organizations have reaffirmed traditional Baptist values including sharing the gospel
of Jesus Christ and its implications for public and private morality, as well as their obligations as Christians to
fulfill the biblical mandate to promote peace
with justice, to feed the hungry, clothe the
naked, shelter the homeless, care for the
sick and the marginalized, and promote
religious liberty and respect for religious
diversity.
We are a fellowship of churches and individuals who share a commitment to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to equip and empower Kentucky Baptist churches and Christians, cultivate partnerships, and engage in missions.

I never imagined I’d say goodbye so soon. After only for Missions
two years and eight months I’m taking the next step on
my journey and saying farewell to KBF. It is certainly
with mixed emotions that I take this leap of faith along with my little family: on
one hand, I feel excited and blessed to have the opportunity to join the family at
the Tellico Village Community Church in Loudon, Tennessee, but on the other
hand I am saddened to leave KBF and a ministry that has been a blessing to me.
When I joined the KBF family in February 2005 I was in a very different place
personally. I often muse that “Kentucky has been good to me.” I met my hus-
band in Kentucky, my son was born in Kentucky, and I’ve found some wonder- Simply, send us an
ful friends and colleagues in Kentucky. Indeed, I have been blessed. However, email confirming
the transitions in my personal life have necessitated a professional change. But your email address:
then, isn’t life just a series of changes? The words of an ancient philosopher
come to mind, “Nothing endures but change.”
office@kybf.org.
I leave confident that KBF is poised to do great things in the name of Christ. I
am proud of what we have accomplished together during my time among you,
and I am thankful to have been a small part in that. May God’s richest bless-
ings be upon KBF, her churches and individuals as you continue to live out the Mailing List
gospel with integrity and passion.
