Merry Christmas !
Pregnancy Help Taupo would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holidays!!! Our office will be closed from 21 December and will reopen on Monday 14th January. Are you needing summer clothing? Call in to the office, text or email, and our Fantastic Volunteers will make you up a summer clothing box Thank you to all those that have donated clothing and baby items, without these we would be unable to help others. We had a Volunteers Christmas lunch last week, this was great and nice to have all of our amazing Volunteers together.

Courses and Events

Taupo Parents Centre offers free comprehensive

childbirth education courses to help you and your partner prepare for having a baby. Approximately 12 courses a year in Taupo. Each course is limited to twelve couples so book early! The childbirth education course covers: nutrition and exercise during pregnancy Labour signs and stages pain relief options and interventions the birth process and birth video informed decision making on vitamin K and immunizations breastfeeding and newborn care postnatal depression Course start dates for 2013 TAUPO, 7 evening sessions, 7-9pm. Jan 7th 2013 Jan 30th 2013 Feb 25th 2013 March 20th 2013 April 15th 2013 May 8th 2013

Patents Centre Music & Movement 10am session is for Children/babies aged 0 to 5 years. $2 members, $3 non-members to attend
Membership to Taupo Parents Centre gives you: FREE childbirth education (antenatal) classes Annual subscription to KiwiParent Magazine (6 issues, worth $30) Six issues of Fingerprints - our centre's local parenting magazine Members discount shopping at local stores Discounted rates for parenting courses Discounted movement to music class Free access to our library for books, dvds and videos Social events and activities A full year membership is only $60! Or $20 if you have a Community Service Card.

A big THANK YOU to all of our Volunteers for all the hard work that you do, it is much appreciated. They have been working hard out the back sorting the clothing and doing the change over from Winter to Summer clothing.

NOTE: After Hours at all Taupo Medical Centres are FREE for under 6s. Weekends or at Night!!!!!!! Melanie Weston Co-ordinator Taupo Parent Centre : have a collection box up at their rooms at AC Baths Avenue for us, so if you cannot make it up to our office you could drop items off there.

Young Mums Playgroup

Come along and join in with other young mums have a catch up whilst your children play. From time to time there will be sessions for mums on cooking, parenting, budgeting whatever you would like!
