DCC connection
Ethernet connection
Interconnectivity between Ethernet LAN connection and DCC line is realized by on-board HUB function on the SV. All of the NMS connection port, two (2) Ethernet LAN and two (2) DCCs are connected each other via the HUB. This HUB is a simple repeater HUB, so that packet routing function of any protocol layer is NOT supported by SRT 1F. As a basic concept, NMS of SRT 1F is designed that SRT1F Web LT and SNMP are split up the equipment management work. SRT1F Web LT has full operational function such as configuration, control and performance monitoring, and is used for a main human machine interface for operation, maintenance and system setup. SNMP mainly provides an open interface for fault management and performance monitoring to a central equipment management system. Tab. 1.2 shows a role of the embedded SNMP agent and the SRT1F Web LT on the SV. DCC Termination
The SV terminates a DCC by using W1 (Work1) channel. DCCM (D4-D12) and DCCR (D1-D3) is selectable in "MS" mode setting and only DCCR (D1-D3) for "RS" mode setting. Fig. 1.2 shows schematic of DCC termination by SV.

LAN
Tab. 1.3 shows protocol stack which is used on Ethernet LAN of NMS connection. SRT 1F uses two (2) type of application layer protocol. HTTP on TCP/IP is used for a web based connection between the built in web server and a client PC. SNMP on UDP/IP is used for connection between the embedded SNMP agent and SNMP managers.

SNMP
Tab. 1.9 shows parameters of SNMP on Application layer. SNMP is mainly used for connection between the embedded SNMP agent and SNMP managers that is a central performance and fault management system. SNPM uses UDP/IP as a low layer protocol for connection. SRT 1F can communicate with maximum three (3) managers. Access from the managers are controlled by an IP address and a community name. They can set independently for each manager.

a. SRT 1F checks the IP address and the community name in the received GET Request message. If the IP address differs from pre-set one to the NE, the received message is discarded and no message is responded to the manager. If the IP address is correct but the community name differs, SRT 1F sends authentication Failure trap message to the manager. b. Maximum length of Community name is limited to sixteen (16) characters. If exceeded, authentication Failure will be responded. c. Applicable characters are shown in par. 1.13.

1.11 Provisioning
SRT 1F supports various configurations such as RF frequency bands, use channels, auxiliary signal settings and optional cards configuration. Major part of system setting is carried out through the SRT1F Web LT. All provisioning items provided by SRT1F WebLT are shown in Cap. 3.

1.12 Supported PM
SRT 1F provides performance monitor based on ITU-T Recommendation. SRT 1F stores one (1) current and historical registers for 1-Day periodical performance, and one (1) current and ninety five (95) registers for 15-Min periodical performance. These values can be retrieved via SRT1F Web LT and SNMP. All performance monitoring values supported by SRT1F WebLT are shown in Cap. 4. Tab. 1.11 shows number of performance monitoring register. Entering IP address
Check followings, if you can not open the SRT1F Web LT: Check the IP address and the Network mask of the PC. The Network mask should be same as the NE setting and the IP address should be different from the target NE and existing NE in the same subnet. Check the connection cable type. It should be a crossover type, in case the PC and the NE are connected directly. Check connection speed and try to set the interface of the PC to 10 Mbit/s and half duplex mode, although the SV card (unit) supports Auto Negotiation that detect the connection speed and the mode of Ethernet interface automatically.
You can use Ping command for an aid to solve the problem through the PC. The SV unit can respond the Ping command.

Provisioning Menu
The NE must be configured during installation. Initially, the parameters for the NE must be set or the default parameters must be changed on the near and far ends of the radio link before the NE will work normally. The Provisioning Menu allows you to configure the NE on both ends of the radio link. The parameters set by this menu group are registered in the non-volatile memory on the SV card (unit) of each NE. The configurations of the NE are set through these menu frames: To open the Provisioning Menu main frame: Click the Provisioning Menu link in the Provisioning part of the menu frame.
