In this unit you will explore conventions of Brechtian theatre

through practical and written work with reference to his plays. You
will practically work through a range of Brechtian techniques and develop your very own Brechtian performance. Assessment takes place as an ongoing process throughout the unit in the form of practical activities and written tasks, an end of unit performance, evaluation and reflection wi Recording your creative process in your DW should include: notes about Brecht and Brechtian theatre conventions; annotated extracts of text; experiments, brainstorms and things that went wrong, changes made etc; your personal reflections and evaluation of the work you have done. ll also be assessed. You will be assessed as you: participate in practical explorations of Brechtian theatre; develop and perform a scene from a Brecht play; research and explore Brecht and his techniques; record this process in your Developmental Workbook (DW) using specialist terminology; reflect upon and evaluate your work throughout the creative process in your DW.
