ADVERTISEMENT FOR PREQUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, BAKERSFIELD FOR ALL BID PACKAGES

Subject to conditions prescribed below, prequalications from trade contractors are requested for the following Work: ART CENTER AND SATELLITE PLANT CSU Bakerseld Project No. PR7001 CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, BAKERSFIELD BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA CSU Bakerseld and Rudolph and Sletten are requesting prequalication applicants for all bid packages. Prequalication forms will be submitted to Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: Art Center: This project component requires construction of a new one story, 10,000 square foot building. It includes teaching labs, restrooms, lockers, equipment storage, repair shop, storage areas, yards and other areas necessary to function as an Art Center. There is a covered area and a secured yard. Satellite Plant: This project component requires the construction of a new Satellite Plant consisting of a 3,000 square foot building and 1,600 square foot cooling tower attached to the building, a 600,000 gallon thermal storage tank, a 600 ton chiller and all associated utilities piping and controls. Sewer Main Line Extension: The project component requires the installation of 15 sewer main from CSUBs south property line along Scarlet Oak Boulevard to Ming Avenue. Start of construction for this 8.5-month project is anticipated to be March, 2013. The Project will be constructed by trade contractors each working under a separate contract or contracts with Rudolph and Sletten, Inc. The successful trade contractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates in accordance with the current Department of Industrial Relations requirements.
